Wasn't there some kinda brushup with the PlayDiplomacy guys over ripping off Kestas. I don't remember it exactly but I was something like that I think.

@youradhere - Star means you've posted to that thread ... in other words you contributed to that monstrosity of nonsense that is the word-association thread.

That's an assumption of course. I can only really see the stars by the threads I've posted on, so it could be that the developers marked the threads that I post to with stars only, in order to let everone else know there is valuable insight contained in them. But more likely it's on a user-by-user basis.

youradhere, idk if you had missed the massive live game thread annoyance and also a lot of tournaments have been running in the last year since you left.

Is the prize a gold star or another green one?

@Ed - yeah, I remember reading about PlayDiplomacy. I never really heard what actually happened, though, only accusations and judgement.

@DJ - yeah, I missed that. I noticed the live game thread. I assume that's just to consolidate the debris from all that? And it looks like the leagues have really taken off since I left

@PlayDip - That was AAAAAAAAAGES ago. Not that I've forgiven them.
Oh, and Treefarn has been around much more recently than you'd think

Nope, I'm not a rehabilitated multi. At the end of my first stay here, my life took a turn for the very stressful for a while. I foolishly joined a game series even though I knew I didn't want to handle more than one game at that time, became frustrated with the games, and went into CD, ruining the series for all the other players. I feel bad about ruining their games like that, and actually considered moving to a different site when I came back to diplomacy. But I rather like it here.

When I first came into the site I had recently tried playdiplomacy, and the fuss from the ripoff was stil warm.

And that was a long time go.

It was a while ago.
Any of you dinasaurs want a game? I don't have a whole lot of points, but I'll throw a bunch of 'em at it. If that's what it takes.
