I would say Colts vs Saints but one team that is supposed to be the favorite never makes it in...i will say vikings-colts superbowl.....i think minnesota is better equiped to be the wild card in the superbowl than jets

definitely agree with that last bit johnfox. The Jets have had no passing game, and really haven't won a game- the opposition has simply thrown it away- I mean if you have 2 games and your opponents total up to 0-5 with field goal attempts you know you've been lucky.
I don't see them conceding many points, but unless their defence comes up trumps with interceptions, they're gonna struggle to get into the endzone.
I reckon something like 20-13 saints.
And 35-25 Colts.

Saints- jets. favre may have what it takes to get there, but the saints are the best team the vikings have faced, and the vikings haven't played well away this year. Carolina, arizona, if it was a home game for the vikings i would pick them, but seeing as it is in new orleans the saints won't be stopped. especially through the air, the vikings secondary is a little banged up. the vikings will have to throw because AP hasn't done that much lately and people have been able to contain him. If forced to throw yes favre is up to the challenge no doubt about that, but i suspect N.O. to pressure him pretty well. no way it will be a blow out, a close game with the saints scraping out on top.

as for the other game, he jets have been good down the stretch and have played well in tight games. their defense will lead the way with revus(spelling) at the wheel. all sanchez has to do is hand the ball off and they should be set. as for peyton i have so much respect for him, but i think that this defense might even confuse him.

then the saints dismantle the jets for the second time this year.

just remember the saints are 1 for 4 in theyre last 4 games and carolina and arizona that beat the vikings had a great run game.....jared allen will eat drew brees for lunch

the saints were also resting their starters and had the nfc wrapped up they didn't need to win those games. yes and the saints split with carolina lost the second game cause they weren't playing for anything, and beat arizona this very soundly.
and brees isn't a bumbling fool named romo, and they also don't have a dipshit coach who was just signed an extension. the cowboys won't make the superbowl with that fool coaching

Prince's song was unbearable, even for a Prince song. It's especially crappy since the Vikings apparently have a perfectly fine fight song already, according to Youtube.

As a Bears fan I lost interest this season rather early, and agree akilies on a Saints-Jets Super Bowl, but not as strongly. I'm even worse at predicting sports games than I am at predicting elections, though.

In my heart pf hearts I want the Vikings to get to the Super Bowl and win so Brett Favre would retire, but he'll probably keep playing till he breaks a hip on the field anyway.

I actually went to the Viking's game last week. I saw firsthand the intensity they played. If any of that carries through it will be a blowout just like against the Cowboys.

For the Colts-Jets I'm picking the Colts. Sure, the Jets have played amazingly, but we have to be practical. The talent is on the Colt's side. Quarterbacks win championships. Peyton Manning beats out the fresh rookie, Sanchez.

Disgruntlement with the head guys. He went to the jets because they were the most available I think. They didn't have talent last year anyways.

I seems to remember talk of him going to the Bears the first time he wanted to come back. Nothing came of it, of course. I think it would be fun to have him at the Bears, but what we really need is our own dynastic sort of guy like Brett Favre, not just a novelty quaterback for a few seasons.

But then again, we need a lot of things. I also go to U of I, so I'm just about ready to give up on football all together and become a completely fair-weather Black Hawks fan. The Cubs sure won't give me solace...

I thought Favre was a man of destiny a couple years ago when he would have faced the then undefeated Patriots. But it turned out that the Giants had destiny on their side.

I still think Favre is a man of destiny but we'll have to see if him wanting it is enough.

As for Favre to Jets last year, there was talk of him going to the Vikings then but Packers wouldn't let him. So he went to the Jets and at that point the Packers no longer could control what team he ended up on so then he moved to the Vikings. That's what I remember in any case.

The Jets played the Colts 2nd and 3rd string players last game and don't stand a chance against the Colts first string players. I'd say the Viking play the Colts in the Super Bowl.

I could care less about the other game, though I expect it'll be the Colts.
As a long time Vikings fan, I'm dreading another Super Bowl attempt. It could get the monkey off our back, but if it did, we'd have to spend the rest of our lives worshiping Favre instead of Joe Kapp and Tarkenton. So I'm conflicted.
