Cheap 'Victory'
What's with the people who deliberately delay or refuse to pause when everyone else has, then playing on solo to get a 'win' after everyone else has given up out of frustration at the deliberate delays?

Let's try out a live game with 20 minute turns. I was thinking 15 but added 5 to account for all the typing. Either or let's play a fast game ^_^

It's interesting that people have such opinions about those who agree/ disagree with them. As I'm not one to get too bent out of shape with those who disagree I'd like to continue the debate about Collins', Dawkins, etc. here.

I see there is another thread from Razz about this whole thing
Razz was acting like the good guy and still continues to apparently but he attacked you and me while we were offline. I stayed awhile because they were still online and took off pause. I gave up and woke up to having the game ended and France took 4 of my SC's. Whole game I couldn't tell if he was being the jackass by lying to everyone or what. Until the turn you left and he attacked 2 of yours while you were gone and I just kept my units on hold not even touching you.

=================
As you can see from just this part, we were unable to pause because of Turkey. Prior to this, I requested a pause from Turkey 4 or 5 times after Crazyter (Germany) left.

Turkey and Russia collaborated in Spring 1908 (although )with a stab from Turkey against Russia)

Turkey:
The army at Budapest hold.
The army at Trieste hold.
The army at Bulgaria move to Rumania.
The army at Ankara move to Constantinople.
The fleet at Albania support move to Ionian Sea from Eastern Mediterranean.
The fleet at Adriatic Sea support move to Ionian Sea from Eastern Mediterranean.
The army at Serbia support move to Rumania from Bulgaria.
Russia:
The fleet at Norway hold.
The fleet at Baltic Sea move to Prussia.
The army at Moscow move to Ukraine.
The fleet at Eastern Mediterranean move to Ionian Sea.
The army at Finland support hold to Norway.
The army at Warsaw support move to Ukraine from Moscow.
The fleet at Aegean Sea support move to Ionian Sea from Eastern Mediterranean.

I took 2 centers from Germany that turn since it looked as if Turkey was going to continue play regardless, and was able to retreat forward from ionian sea and take Greece from Turkey. With Turkey's stab failing - he netted only 1 gained center, he logged off, still refusing to pause. Germany went cd and I was left with a lot of bad choices - play it out against the new germany, go to bed and let him have the win, or give Turkey an undeserved share of the draw. I finally chose the latter at 4 am.

I don't care about the points - mods can give ter ALL of mine for all I care. If not for a two people ruining the game (Austria was running two countries early in the game - check Italy's moves), he'd have been in position for a win or a two way draw with me. Both Crazyter and the guy running Turkey before Sayjo took it over got screwed.

That last should be Volksgemeinshaft taking over Turkey, not Sayjo who was Russia from the beginning.

Thanks guys, I am going to send all of this to the Mods for an investigation. Might as well investigate the game from the previous day where E (ALAMO) did the same thing, altho I have to admit he was a great sport in lst night's game
That's the problem with Diplomacy you can infer a plethora of motives whether accurate or not is impossible to see.

Curious where that comes from. I took exactly 1 SC from you - Norway. Nor did you "keep all your units on hold" - it was your attack, supported by Turkey, that knocked me out of ionian sea and allowed me to retreat forward to take Greece.
And i'm certainly not "inferring any motives", I have no clue what your motive was, all i know is you attacked me with Turkish support after Ter left.
Ter? Who is Ter? I said I didn't attack him (Crazyter) After he left all my units around him remained on hold. I figured you attacked me after I logged because you had 4 more supply centers from when I left and I had 4 less and Turkey had the same. I assume for all I knew you two were just playing me the whole time.
Had the same as in the same amount not 4 less like. In case it wasn't clear. I worded that oddly

I had a nice begining yea, but I wasn't also Italy!
Italy gave himself to you with no resistance and had no communications from you. Also when we put together conversations from both yourself and Italy from multiple sides it became obvious.

Thanks
Don't really want to make a big thread out of this, but just to say thank you to those in my gunboat game, Flashman in particular, for the game. My internet went (still not quite sure why) some time ago, and as you saw it caused me to effectively disappear. Very sorry for those who lost good positions, and perhaps I can offer you another game sometime coming up.
Yours,
Figlesquidge
