Search System
I suggest that Kestas can implement a searching system in phpDiplomacy, enabling us to search for players' names and game names, instead of using CTRL+F blindly everytime, hoping that you'll get the name you want in that page.

What do you guys think?

How long does it take to own a SC
How long must your army/fleet occupy a SC for it to be yours before you can leave it and it still be yours. I think it's one turn but not sure.

Invictus (240 D)

No Exit's really not the sort of reading material appropriate for 6th graders. I remember we read that turd of a book Tuck Everlasting.

Safari doesn't think "turd" is a word. I can't wait till I figure out how to fix my Firefox...

haha no, I meant back in 6th grade she read to us, I'm not in middle school anymore.
Invictus (240 D)
11 Mar 09 UTC
I find that very hard to believe. One of the characters is a lesbian and the other drowns her baby, among other not-for-middle-sixth-graders content.
Chrispminis (916 D)
11 Mar 09 UTC
No, her 6th grade teacher read him The Raven.

Some sixth graders are lesbians, but god forbid they should read about them! (I agree that Inès in No Exit is not for sixth graders.)
Thucydides (864 D(B))
11 Mar 09 UTC
How about we just let those lesbian 6th graders read about them and the others can opt out.

Anyway I have heard about No Exit and sort of want to read it... but I'm not as educated as many of you.

Lesbian 6th graders? Where?
You have my full attention!
Toby Bartels (361 D)

Schools that use controversial books like Heather Has Two Mommies sometimes alert parents and let them opt out. Even when we read Huckleberry Finn in 11th grade, the school informed our parents in case they didn't want us reading a book with the word ‘nigger’ in it.

@Onar:
Comment (3) here
http://lesbianlife.about.com/b/2008/11/28/were-you-born-gay.htm
is written by someone who claims to have been a lesbian in 6th grade.

It may be hard to find a lesbian sixth grader (I mean hypothetically, it would probably be rude to try), since people are usually still working out their sexuality back then. Even the writer of the comment cited above may be simplifying her memories. But if someone can be straight in 6th grade, then surely someone can be gay then too.

Oh God, let's not start one of these...

I misunderstood you, amonkeyperson. My sixth grade teacher read us the Raven too. We even watched the Treehouse of Horror with it.

I didn't care enough to look through some edgar allen poe in 6th grade, a girl got me into it later on.... I just read them jst to get some, but he turned out to be a good writer.
...and I didn't get any. :[
Invictus (240 D)

Doesn't sound like the most stable sort of girl emotionally.

Perhaps it's best you didn't get any from a girl who's into Edgar Allan Poe.

Crazy hot chicks from hell are the BEST sexual partners. Of course, they are the type that throw lit road flares into your bedroom window while you sleep, drive your car into a lake when your passed out in the back seat, and glue your testicles to your thighs. Just ask Charlie Harper!
Invictus (240 D)

Since when do hot chicks read poetry?
Onar (131 D)

I only read one EAP work that I actually liked. the rest was too... overdone for my tastes.

Haha my sixth grade teacher read us another story by edger allen poe about some guy getting buried alive during the mardi gras. Anyone know of it? And in eigth grade i went to see "the fall of the house of usher" and some other poetry in plays.

You just gotta love it when you predict somebody's every move.
Just the feeling of knowing that your inside their head, and putting in your orders, knowing the outcome.

Then, going back to see the outcome and seeing just how badly you just decimated them, and all your assumptions were correct.

Unpause required
I recently joined a game which was about to end and looked like it could take a long time (CD needed). So I went, a pause was required by the leading player, we agreed. Now Italy doesn't want to unpause and said he won't come back to play. http://phpdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=7712

What are ther ules about harassment?
I've had a player act like a jackass, and he's making inappropriate comments. He did it once so I ignored it, but now he's pushing it again. Do I need to report him or something?
