Lurkers do not seem susceptible to this "star" disease, where countless forum topics become marred with unsightly green polygons. These blemishes may seem benign, but statistics show that even a single one quickly multiplies. Countless threads have already been marked, one must only ask players of forum games such as Chess, Go, or Mafia.
The only consolation is that the disease at the root of these stars does not seem to be communicable to posters, just to threads. We must be vigilant, however, and if the disease crosses the human threshold, we must quarantine the victim until we find a cure. I have heard unconfirmed reports that our mods are aware of this possibility, but they have no plans to do anything about it. It's even possible that one of them already has a mutation of this strange, dangerous disease.
Stay vigilant and report any sightings of the infected in this thread. The mods won't do anything about it, so it's going to be up to us.
