You can't, because you already have forum posts, games you've joined, etc. By deleting your account your posts and games would have no owner, which is impossible. Once you have done something online an owner to that action must belong.

Who would be the creator of this forum thread if your account were deleted? Forget it.

ah...okay....I hoped, that it is possible, on german sites it is possible to delete ur webdiplomacy account :)

I assume you want it deleted so you have no access to webdiplomacy anymore.
Just cause as much crap in as small of a timeframe as possible (metagame, post about ongoing games, swear) so that your account gets banned, done :)

@Rokakoma, can't a user remain in the stats with his own ID deleted? Something like what happens to games which I registered in, but never started. Those game IDs result wrong but they leave traces (and link) in my homepage.

I mean, a situation similar to a ban, leaving the past interventions/games but deleting the account for future use.

@BoV, technically the userid must be in the database, I assume, since userid-s join the games, not usernames. So what could be done is to delete personal data connected to the userid, but you can't delete the userid for sure.

Also, if it were possible it would just open the way for trolling, multiing, and so on a lot of unwanted things.

I don't see the point of deletion since the only public info about you is your nickname, which in most cases tells nothing about the person itself. You don't get emails, nothing, why you would delete.

But to be completely honest, I don't know wheter it's technically possible here, I'm not a mod, neither an admin. I just don't see how it's possible fro a programming side.
