You'll see a lot of games at 101 , because that way nobody can sign up and jump into that game.

But the best thing to do is create a game with a password at ANY level and post it on the forum. At least then you'll get people joining who are interested enough in the game to participate fully.

If you want to set up a random game and get decent players, you should go for 101-200 .

But, you can usually use the forums to set up a high-profile passworded game without many points.

His situation doesn't change reality. We also suggested using the forum to advertise a passworded, low pot game.

BTW, what's the op's ghost rating? That may be a good way to find players of similar caliber.

The best way is to hang out on the forum getting to know people while playing games. That way when someone is forming an invitation only game you might be able to get in on it if they recognize you.

Getting into the tournaments is good too but that is a matter of timing. Not sure when the next league season starts but I'd guess a month at the minimum.

As for your current situation, it is considered bad form to discuss ongoing games so all I'll say is to remember what police always say: "Anything you say can and will be used against you." If someone acts like a jerk or crazy or whatever, use that against them with the other players.

I have 50 *now*. I expect to end up with more in the long run. In the meantime, it sounds like a pwd'd game is the way to go.
