I prefer Terran but I love playing as Zerg. In the gameplays on the site I play Zerg and Terran. I don't remember if they recorded me playing a 2v2 as Terran w/ Toss against 2 Terrans. What's iccup?

@abgemacht: the beta is really polished. There are a couple instances of beta-like behaviour, like units hesitating when you attack click multiple times. However, I played SC2 at GamesCom 09 and Leipzig 08 and the game was really well put together.

A lot of features are not available for testing. You can play 1v1 and 2v2, and with any race, but you can't play 3v3, 4v4 in a ranked setting it seems. It's really fun. I played some at work and I'm downloading it now at home.

I love the look of the new startcraft, I always worry when they go and update a classic game that they will destroy some fundamental part of what made the game work, i cant say anything about the game balance and gameplay of this new starcraft but the look of the units i love, they have kept the somewhat cartoonish aspect which is good, i was worried they would make it look like a Warhammer 40000 or Supreme commander clone and make the units look "realistic" but they have kept the rounded shapes, mellow colour coordination and feel of the old startcraft. .

Dawn of War was a fairly different RTS game to star craft (and lets not forget the original warcraft was created for Gamesworkshop as a Warhammer game, until they cancelled it, and the makers went oni changing only a few names) StarCraft is so very like Wh40K in plot...

and it looks like it is just a graphical update to the original starcraft. pif, b'ah, i don't careabout starcraft 2, i'll be happy with the original.
