Well, I am brasilian and white. Maybe a minority on the whole country but not on my town (we have a large German and Italian imigration here). End, of course, I am nerdy for sure, but a married with daughter nerd actually :-)

@ general - Good point. At 2am those little tidbits don't come to me as quickly as they would at a more suitable time of day. However, I think it should still be fairly obvious I was referring to whites as the majority. This site is in English and every country in the world with English as it's first language is predominantly white. The only exception I can think of is South Africa and I would argue that Afrikaans or native languages rival English for South Africas first language.

Ethnically speaking, though, I guess I'm white. In this country we have a continous blend going from white to what in the US you'd call "latino", and I'm rather on the white side of the spectrum. I'd argue that "latino" is actually a mix of the originary ethnics and white immigration, and I have little or no originary ethnics in my family tree.

My ascendance goes to Spain, Italy, Germany and France.

I'm white. I'm American with a blend of English, Irish and Scottish. There's probably something else in there too but I don't know what it is.

I'm white and 3/4 German. The other 1/4 is a jumble of countries in the UK and The Netherlands. However I was born in the US and have lived here my whole life.

Mostly German from my paternal side, with Scotch, English, and French on my maternal side. Define white. Would European desent be more accurate than white. Some refer Hispanic and Southern European none white.

50% Italian, 50% Swiss. I actually don't think that anyone here considers Swiss to be an ethnicity, but then I wonder why German would be considered one... All the Central/West European "descents" seem to be more nationalities and maybe languages to me, rather then ethnicities. Would be interested to hear what someone with some anthropological knowledge has to say about that actually...

English descent. Living in Texas. Family has lived in Texas for a 150+ years. I don't know at what point I'm not longer "English" and I become Texan, or American, or North American, or something but yeah.
