Of course, this might be a waste of time for some people-but having a single thread devoted to live games would be much more organized and efficient, in my opinion.

That might be a good idea in the short term. In the longer term I think partitioning the forums is a better option.

figlesquidge, I used to be against the idea of partitioning the forum, but the advent of live games has made this a far more attractive idea.

I reckon the option of the maker of a thread to delete it would help.

I would prefer to give live games a special page.

Completely dedicated to live games, linked on the front page - between games and new games perhaps (with the number of games/players currently browsing that area listed in brackets -> so it would look like "Live Games(16)" ....

that way the information is available to everyone al the time without getting in their way at all. (less compliated than expanding the forum into several sub-fora, and more appropriate, even in the long run.)

Or maybe a thing where you like, say when you create the thread "this thread is linked to this game (enter gameID) and will disappear when said game begins."

Well, I'd be happy to add many of those features. Personally I think that locking threads would be a really useful feature as well.

The way I proposed doesn't require any new features or moderator work, just a little effort from forum posters,
