14-hour PPSC game
I've got a 14-hour, PPSC game starting in about 12 hours and need 2 more players to get the game going. I've set it up to teach some friends of mine the game; it's anonymous so I don't have an unfair advantage by knowing who's playing which country.

Pretty self-explanatory subject. Most games on here seem to be either daily orders or very quick. Or private.

Drinking games!
I was recently discussing with my friend on whether or not alcohol should be legal at a younger age, but the conversion quickly dissolved into what is the best drinking game. So my question to all fellow American's and those overseas: what are your favorite drinking games? Please include a description and how to play it!

Kings Cup=
each person has a cup with liquor of choice. in the center an empty cup (Kings Cup) is placed and a 52 card deck of cards is made into ciclre around it facedown. then a random player picks up a card from te cicrle. if you break the circle you drink. If you pick up a:
King= you pour your drink into the kings cup a quater of the way once the last kings is drawn that person fills it up to the top and chugs it down
Queens= all girls drink
Jacks=All guys drink
Ace= you drink

kings cup and flip cup are fun ones. pong is a little too.... stereotypical lol.

also drinking while doing dignified things like having a cocktail and dinner party or playing poker, etc etc
Shot-Draughts, Draughts played with shot glasses, one sides has Vodka in, the others has whisky. There are 2 ways to play - either you have to drink any piece *you* take OR you have to drink any of your pieces your opponent takes.

you can drink beer, wine etc... at the age of 16 in germany
and all the rest at 18 ;)
My personal favorite is called rugby.

Another one isn't so much of a game but a timing system. For a lot of movies they'll have cues for you to do a shot, take a swig, etc. So for the old transformers movie, it's every time they transform, so you get messed up quick. You can find a lot of the cues online, but I forget where.

@ denis - Bear pong sounds a little dangerous.
UOSnu (113 D)
20 Dec 09 UTC
Pong's a perfectly good game, but definitely just use water in the cups and drink from your own beer. Otherwise you're just asking for all sorts of nasty stuff. I might also suggest a large quantity of Corona, a few friends, and the Big Lebowski. Drink when they say dude.

How is sit down and drink not an option but a drinking game is?

Drinking games are only fun when you're playing with girls, and only when you have a shot of doing stuff with those girls. This of course doesn't count the movie drinking games like what LJ TYLER DURDEN said, which are perfect anytime. Of instance...

Jersey Shore Drinking Game:

Italian stereotype enforced: drink
Character swears: drink
Cleavage: drink
Guy takes his shirt off: drink
Guy acts unbelievably disrespectful to a woman: drink
Nudity: drink
Anyone hooks up: drink
Bod fragrance commercial: drink
Anyone on the show drinks: drink
The Situation says "The Situation": drink
Girl crying: drink
Character refers to an adult as "kid": drink
Character fist pumps: drink

Bar fight: finish your beer

Chug while characters have a yelling argument.

My fav is to tell the waitress serving the poker room at my fav casino that I when I order a mixed drink, make it a virgin and that she can keep the red chip I use to pay for it. Non-alcoholic drinks are free, so she makes $5 per drink for bringing it and keeping my secret.

Then over the course of the next several hours I get a little looser and act a little drunker, taking in enough to stay even. Finally, I reach the point where I keep losing small amounts on a series of stupid hands sometimes folding the would be best hand, then pounce and clean out any one who fell for it. It's one hell of a great game...

Flip Cup is a sport, not a game.

I like lecture drinking games, where you drink whenever the prof does something on a list. Pretty much amazing.

In RAG week, Someone bought our lecturer a bottle of Vodka, and got it delivered to the lecture with a glass and some rules telling *him* to join in our game. Good on him, he did, but he was rather worse for wear by the end!

Asshole (some people call it capitalism or some jank because they find asshole is offensive).

You start by dealing all the cards out amongst the players, then whoever has the 3 of clubs plays it. Whoever starts with a clear table can play anything they want (except the first hand with the three of clubs - after that the winner of the last hand starts with whatever he wants).

You can play anything equal to or above (numbers wise) the card played by the last player. If you play the same card as the last person you skip the person after you. If you can't play a card, then you drink. If you get skipped you drink.

Basically you just go around until everyone's out of cards. Last person to go out is asshole (has to shuffle), second to last is beer bitch, first to go out is President. President makes a rule every other hand he wins. Anyone can tell someone of a lower rank to drink whenever they want (you have to be careful though, since ranks switch so often). While shuffling the asshole can tell anyone to drink.

House rules vary, but the most recent ones I've played (which are pretty tame - and kinda lame) are 2's clear the table and 4's are socials (everyone takes a drink).

Great game, especially with a bunch of guys. It's a game with a degree of strategy, allows for some fun competition, and can make for getting hammered quickly if your friends are a bunch of d-bags, lol.

Caps.

Sit on the floor facing each other with your legs spread apart and an open beer between your legs. Choice of distance is optional. Place a beer cap upside down on top of the open bottle(like a crown). You each have a bunch of beer caps. Alternate turns throwing a cap at the cap balanced on your friend's bottle top.

If you knock the cap off, he/she has to take a drink.

Yet another great Canadian tradition.

@Fig - against new fish and visiting players, yep. Against my regular friends who know the ply, not so much... If there are no fish in the game, I just drink virgin sea breezes all night and don't order them as anything special or try the game.

I learned it when someone else tried it on me. But they were sitting right next to me and I could smell they hadn't been drinking at all, so I didn't bite.

@Crazy A - The night after my final exam in Assembly Language, we all went out to the bar and played darts while getting shit-faced. All I can say is never call out to a drunk guy when he is about to through a dart. That sucker damn near hit me as he turned, but his hand didn't stop it's forward motion. You never saw a table full of people duck so fast in all your life. The dart stuck in the wood pole by our table.

rofl

The first time I shot a handgun (seriously, I hung around with some nimrods in my day), we were all drinking and I mentioned that I's never shot a handun. They said "Here we've got a .22, Let's go out back".

Okay, so I really should have said "No", but I was 18 and immortal. Anyway they put the gun in my hand and pointed to the embankment on the other side of the driveway. Right so all I had to do was point and shoot and then we'd go back inside.

I immediately turned the gun sideways asking "Is the safety on on this thing?". I didn't know my friends were so quick and agile.

I always liked Mexican. I've heard it called Liars Dice too. Basic game consisted of a hidden dice roll (usually under a cup) The roller announces his roll and it is up to the next person to try to beat it with a higher roll or choose to call bullshit on the first roller. Fail to beat a roll or get called on bullshit costs a drink. Here is the heirarchy (lowest to highest)as I remember:

41
42
43

53
54
11
22
33

31 - Social (must be shown)
32 - Reversal
21 - Mexican (beats all rolls)
figlesquidge (2131 D)

Liar dice is always a good game.
I prefer playing it with poker dice though. you have 5 poker dice, and roll. Basically each person has to roll a higher trick (or claim they did). As above calling someone on a bluff costs them, else you pay/drink.

I'm not sure the name but lets call it "drops".

You sit in a circle with a few friends, each with a bottle of beer. You put a glass three quarters full of beer in the centre and float a bottle cap in the glass. Each person has to pour a small amount of beer into the cap. At least one drop of beer must go in the cap. Whoever sinks the cap has to down the glass. Refill, repeat.

Anyone here know the Piramid game? It works with five rows of cards, from five card in row 1 to one cards in row 5 (hence the piramid). How much cards there are in the game, depends on the amount of players. Each player has four cards before him, turned upside down. All cards are turned upside down.

Before the game starts you get the chance to view your cards thoroughly, since you're not be allowed to see them again.

The game starts with turning the first card (the first of the first row). Now players can challenge other players to a drink by claiming they've got the card (or two!) lying before them. The player who is challenged can react in two different ways: by accepting the drink or saying 'I don't believe you' after which the challenger must show the card. If he succeeds in showing the correct card (after a while that may become hard) the challenged player must drink twice the amount. If he doesn't succeed he must drink himself. The amount of drinks goes upward with the piramid:

Row 1: 5 cards, 1 sip
Row 2: 4 cards, 2 sips
Row 3: 3 cards. 3 sips
Row 4: 2 cards, 4 sips
Row 5: 1 card, 5 sips

Ofcourse you can slightly alter the rules to your comfort, especcially with the doubling of drinks. The fun part is the challenging and not (exactly) knowing what another's cards are (or your own).

The stories that I could tell about this game... Be responsible, kids!
I like the Diplomacy Idea.
Stab someone, down a beer

get stabbed, down two beers.
Actually everyone (except Turkey) has to drink from their own country.

England - Gin
France - Champagne
Russia - Vodka
Italy - Chianti
Austria & Germany- Beer

Turkey - espresso (He's the designated driver for the evening)
figlesquidge (2131 D)
21 Dec 09 UTC
Haha, somehow I think England/Russia/Turkey are screwed! My money's on France out of that to wipe up.
Does sound like quite a good game though! How about you have to drink the drink of whoever you've just taken over from. This way you also end up seriously mixing. Oh, and give Turkey Raki - its a lovely drink (like Sambucca) and much fairer!

Draugnar (0 DX)
22 Dec 09 UTC
Ah, but define swearing, LJ. There are some words that some poeple consider swear words and others don't. In todays society, calling some one an ass isn't swearing, but it was a few short decades ago. Hell, even that exclamation isn't considered a swear word (or it is mild at worst) by today's standards.

I assume that there are some in this forum that are slightly annoyed by the mass amounts of threads devoted solely for the advertising of live games.
Those that are looking for a live game appear to have many different options, but most of the live games advertised have already ended.
