Don't play gunboat. It sucks. It negates the most important part of the game - talking.

Here we go again with the anti-gunboat crowd who don't have the intellectual copacitiy to analyze the moves and do their negotiations through intentionally failed supports, indicating their intent to ally, at least for a moment.

Just kidding Jamie, but seriously some of us do enjoy gunboat and using our wits to both project our intent as well as divine what the other players will do. Most people who hate gunboat hate it because they aren't ggod at analyzing the situation, reading the moves that went before, and making decisions from that information that will both tell their potential ally what they intend and assist (or block) the person based on those deductions and inferred intentions.

Oh, and virtually no one on here talks to another person. They may write, but they don't create audible sounds that another person is hearing. Talking requires speech, not written language.

im not a big fan of gunboat games since when a country starts to get a clear edge, its near impossible to stop them. i do, however enjoy the difference from time to time.
