My goal in the comback was to teach the attackers a lesson. I ceased to care about a win or even a draw when I was down to two SCs and thought I was gone. So the fact I lost was irrelavent as it meant Italy lost too. I'm sorry you got caught in the crossfire as it were, but this is a game about having fun. Not all moves are intended to win. Of course, had Italy not CDd, I might have been able to help him hold onto what he had left, but he did CD and the game ended.

Life's a bitch. I couldn't tell the truth as that would violate the gunboat. But you NEVER attack a player into near oblivion then back off. Their goals change when faced with certain death and they no longer give a shit. I just wanted my attackers to lose and to get a helluva comeback out of it. I figured everyone left had a better GR than me, so no harm there and I had just completed a draw which should have helped my GR for the month.
