It was a game I got dropped from. But I was Germany with 15 SCs, we had killed Austria and pushed everyone so far back that there was no recovery and I got this request from someone I was about to kill

After a few hints were dropped, I got the message... and asked Turkey out to the Prom. He said yes. =DDD

I've had some funny ones, but I can't specifically remember. I think one of them was exchanging one of my home centers for a neutral, lol.

How about the weirdest offers you've ever offered that got accepted? I've done this twice: I offered someone one of my home supply center in the hopes of forming an alliance with them... The catch is, both times it was right after the person forcefully took the center from me and was already in it at the time of the offer... One ended in us drawing 17-17 and the other time we drew with a couple other players...

I actually proposed a 7-way draw in a game once.

convincing people to go for the 7-way draw is probably the hardest thing to do in diplomacy. Though ordering al your units to hold year after year will usually give you some leverage.

A 7-way draw can of course be worth points to everyone, if there have been CD takeovers.

or even if one or more country has gone cd, because cd's don't share any points in draws. of course if people had gone cd it would be less than a 7 way draw.....

i've only had a 7-way draw once - and I was sure glad to get it too!! I was Austria with a very tenuous position...

I've had 2 seven ways although neither was legit: 1 was the restart of a tourney game and the other was me using the flurry of bored draw votes just before an unpause to save a dying position.

I know there was one game where Austria offered me Bulgaria/Rumania (I was turkey). I said no, and that i wanted Greece. He refused me, so Russia, Italy, and I took him out before the end of 1902.

I have another fun one.

I am Italy and the year is 1904. I am in a game where I am somewhat out of my league. Frustrated with my inability to expand, I flail wildly at both Austria and Turkey while friendly France is killing les Anglais.

Then, the Frenchman asks me if I would mind him sending some fleets into the Med. He says nothing of him attacking me, or me doing anything, or whatever.

[The below is vaguely approximate of what was said to me]

"All I want" says the ludicrously friendly France, "is to see what the Austrian player will feel and say to me about the moves."

"They are purely a psychological testing mechanism."
"Obviously I would never successfuly defeat you, so you don't even need to worry about stationing any units nearby." This was followed by many smiles.

Sounds like another one of your crazy and elaborate stories, Mr. Sword... My money is on there only being one smile that followed that seemingly rather well intentioned communication... I'd also bet that you've drastically paraphrased the extent and care of words chosen and have thus grossly over-simplified a much more complex situation to paint a villainous picture of an extremely innocent situation... but I could just as easily be wrong, just my gutt take on it...

I'm in the middle of a game. I'm playing France. I have fleets in the English Channel and Irish Sea. Germany is in London. England is in Liverpool, Wales, and the North Sea. (still needs to destroy one) So, he tells me that he will support me into London from the Channel and the North Sea, as well as destroying a unit at Liverpool. He said, and I quote, "get me out of this game".
Naturally I'm taking that!
But seriously, what are the chances?
