a question regarding cancelling convoy
http://phpdiplomacy.net/map.php?gameID=10786&turn=9&largemap=on

in this map, if bulgaria did not move to greece, then aegean sea alone cannot cut the convoy from tunis to greece, and as a result tunis will move successfully to greece, correct?

I was thinking of starting another Ghost-Rating Challenge... Anyway, I noticed the all-time ranks weren't updated with the Ivo-Processing, will a full update be coming our way for the entire month?!

Can a Mod or someone in the know take a look at this game. My English unit has moved Hol to Bel and then Bel to Pic but Belgium is still Blue even though it was taken.

Does this mean i miss out on a build later on, or is it just the game one step behind???

Saying that, having a look it actually just looks to me like they're going to rebrand gmail. Almost all of those features already exist within it, but it's getting a new skin/layout and some more PR work.

I feel bad tripple-posting but I'll add that actually it does look powerful. I think the real key will be how many people choose to embed it to their sites etc. Saying that, it could well have the same issue Gmail has - once people have settled with something they like it can be very hard to persuade them to change, particularly to something like a new google product which comes with a 'thats only for geeks' feel to lots of people

Having watched the first 12 mins, I can say that I am scared about its instant messaging:
It doesn't wait for you to press enter. Diplomacy via wave could present serious problems.
TheGhostmaker (1545 D)

Ah, I should have watched the next 30 secs, there will be a toggle between letter-by-letter and on pressing enter. Phew.

I watched about 18-20 minutes of the vid and it looks pretty cool. Too bad Google doesn't have the frothy zealous fans that Apple has, huh?

I don't know how popular it will be - it's going to depend on how many people use it, and I'm not a marketer. And it might be too complicated for a lot of users, which would be sad. I hope they take into account the fact that there are a lot of stupid people in the world.

Has anyone watched the full video...?

I've watched about 25 minutes now. The presenters are pretty awkward, but the product looks pretty cool. The embedding idea is great.

Triple posting ftw. I've watched 45 minutes now, and they've got a fantastic spellcheck that takes context into account. Eg. "Icland is an icland" is corrected to "Iceland is an island"

It's also got a lot of potential for extensions because it's open source. They showed a cool one where you could google within Wave and add the links or photos directly to the wave.

Quadruple posting. Watched the entire thing, can't really believe I did. I'm pretty excited now, all the extensions they demo'ed were really cool and useful, and I'm excited to see what the community can come up with in terms of extensions because it seems there's a lot of potential.

I hope this gets well adopted.

If you Google and add links directly to a wave that is instantaneously shared by others, doesn't that get everyone screwed at the same time when a dodgy site gets picked up?

I would not want to surrender my choice of sites to use/open to everyone else I am in contact with.

Just a thought. But then I hate Instant Messaging as well, so I'm not really the sort that Google will be aiming for.
figlesquidge (2131 D)
02 Jun 09 UTC
My worry is the amount of information it will give google. I know must people trust them and they're unlikely to do anything rash, but as they say in the talk they save everything you add to the wave (hence playback). This means they could end up with everyone's documents - imagine the dangers of that. Also, if someone hacked your wave password they would know *everything* about you and what you were doing...
