The game is paused since Sunday (France is not unpausing). I do not want to carry on. Can someone take over Russia? If yes do I get back my points, or perhaps more because the situation of Russia looks good. Thanks for the reply.

as of recently, I have been entirely unable to access my email. Odd, because I accessed it one day and emailed Ghostmaker, then I have not been able to access it. Could someone possibly email him for me and ask him what he said about me joining??

Global Chat and taking over CD countries

I think that for the benefit of those of us who are looking at taking over an abonded country, that the global chat should be made visual to all, or maybe just in cases of CD

Missing Units Bug

Kestas, I hope you can address this. I think this has happened in the past... was it server side?

I've gone and paused all the games that people have posted about in the forum. Hopefully we can solve this quickly and we can resume play.

What happened to fleet?

Not sure what happened to my fleet in this game - would appreciate help/explanation from admins - or anyone!

Game id is http://phpdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=6821 (Slow Game-9) and I am Austria.

Italy dislodged my fleet from Ionian Sea in last move (Spring 1908) - fair enough. However, I had no retreat option offered prior to Autumn 1908 even though there are several locations I could have retreated to. Is this some kind of bug or 'feature'?

No - there's no autodisband or anything. People ask for one every few days/weeks, actually. Let's take a closer look....

Huh. Did you get the "No orders to enter this phase" in Retreats? I mean, you could hardly have missed a 72-hour phase....

There was no retreat phase after Spring 1908. We finalised orders for Spring 1908 yesterday and today we are in Autumn 1908.

Are you sure you didn't accidentally finalize a disband?
There's no reason it should have advanced without giving you a retreat option

I know, which is why I posted on the forum.
There was no retreat/disband phase after Spring 1908.

Sorry to be difficult, but can anyone else from the game back this up? I don't think there is anything anyone other than Kestas can do about this, but as you're sure I suggest you get the other players to pause the game for you whilst you decide what to do about it.

Sadly I would have been the only one to retreat/disband so the other players in game cannot back up.
I realise this is an odd one so will try to come to an amicable agreement with other players. Thanks for your help anyway.

Something similar *almost* happened to me just now.

Mine was the last move to go in. I built an army in Ankara, clicked Update. It updated. Then I clicked Finalise. It finalised. I waited a minute or so and then pressed <F5> to get an updated page to see if the turn had moved on yet. It said something about the data having to be reposted. I clicked ok. The game had moved on, but it said I had finalised with all of my units set to HOLD!

If I had done the same sequence after being the last to put in moves AND then been the only one to have a retreat/disband, would it have finalised on a disband and then moved on to the next turn?

I *think* its possible that the repost sent Finalise again, even though a finalise button wasn't available the message ID the button sends was resent by the repost.

1) Am I even close to being right?
2) Has something changed? I'm asking because I don't think this used to happen.

That sounds likely to me. When you first enter a phase you're units are all set to hold, which is a valid order set, so you can finalize straight away if you're not careful.

Suspected malfunction of the programme

Somehow after the autumn move and retreats, the game has skipped the unit-placing phase and jumped to the spring round next year. Is there is malfunction, and can it be reverted?

Would anyone be intrested in a 600p WTA 48 HP game?
I don't have the 600 atm but once people say there in I should have it me and my partner in Diplomacy 7 are almost at draw status :D so that should be 500 and yea, then that 600. so whos in?
