Actually, I have been toying with a role-playing game for some time but was hoping to get each layer to nominate a well-known personage as their role... Possibly royal or political but also literary (Hemmingway tickled my fancy). I often role-play the kings/queens bit and, of course, Sir Harry Flashman.

I'm not entirely clear on press... you are only allowed to communicate when you are touching armies? So basically, have to be in a threatening position just to communicate? That definitely makes for an interesting dynamic...

@fortknox: I'm not sure where you got that idea from. It's a full-press, normal game in every respects, except players are encouraged to write the press in character as a monarch or revolutionary (etc), using anachronisms (and grammar).

If you can see why it might be fun to get messages that begin with "Your Esteemed Highness", by all means come aboard. If it seems silly or brevity is your thing, then maybe not.

Obviously no-one is grading the press, I just made the game to encourage some press with flourishes.

oh... sorry... when I hear 'press game', I get it in my head that its a 'no press' game... normal game, rp. Got it. I'm all on board for that :D
