America Going to Pot? O'Reilly vs. Stewart
http://screen.yahoo.com/comedy-central/burn-notice-bill-oreilly-marijuana-050000837.html
1. I...I have to let John Stewart's first few words speak for me. Every. Single. Word. That whole first clip where he talks before the 2nd O'Reilly clip...yeah. THIS is why you're King of the Secular Show-Biz Jews, pal! ;)
2. So, yeah, um, pot...I can't ever do it (not with my medication) but I'm curious...where does everyone fall on legalization?

*Jon Stewart.

Sorry.

So terribly sorry, Oh Keeper of the Holy Flame (the Flame of Seinfeld, of course.)

I smoke reefer myself; whats the problem? After school and if im off work for the day why not relax for a couple hours and smoke with some friends?

Its really no different from going to the pub with your mates after work or anything; except that it is less dangerous.

Oh so I should probably have stated that YES I am in favor of legalization; you know Colorado raked in almost 300,000$ on the first day of legalization in taxes! AND the people of the state wont be spending so much money paying for minor criminals who also will be able to more easily get jobs without a possession charge on their record! Good for the economy and society!

I am pro-legalization. Well done Colorado. Washington State is going to legalize it also, is that right? Uruguay is legalizing pot too I believe.
kaner406 (356 D)

Uraguay has already legalised pot:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-latin-america-25328656

I don't smoke the stuff, it doesn't do fun things in my mind. However I live in Australia and think that for me I am pro-legalisation, or at least decriminalisation. A legal limit of 2 plants per household would go a long way to de-segregating that section of the community that has to resort to breaking the law to pursue a puff of their favourite weed.

Where do you live in Australia, kaner406? I am in Melbourne.

My old man lives in Melbourne, and I visit every so often. I was living in Launceston but have recently moved to Queensland.

I grew up in Queensland. Moved to Melbourne about 7 years ago (from Brisbane). Where are you living in Queensland?
obiwanobiwan (248 D)

Ah, Melbourne...

I just wrote about all the wonderful restaurants you can dine at there and how it's truly becoming a jewel of Australia and a world city...

Without ever leaving California except for the three states adjacent to it.

Maryborough, although I'm going to be moving back to colder climes asap, the heat up here is just destroying me.
spyman (424 D(G))
09 Jan 14 UTC
I know Maryborough well. I am from Bundaberg originally. Yes it is pretty warm, although Brisbane gets even hotter (despite being 3 hours south). I must admit I prefer Melbourne's cooler clime. Crazy as it is (four seasons in one day - it's true).

No offense but Wide Bay in general is Hicksville. I could never go back to Bundaberg. Although I can see the attraction if you are older and wanted a hobby farm.

Obi why are you writing about Melbourne? It's true Melbourne has great restaurants and cafés.

Which countries is it unluckiest to be landed with playing gunboat on the World Diplomacy XI map? Surely some are especially awkward to deal with. I'm looking at you, Australia...

Officials from Chris Christie's office have reportedly been linked to lane closures earlier in September as a measure of political retribution against the mayor of Fort Lee, NJ.

What is lamer than people who join but don't move?
I am new to this web based forum, but holy cow is there anything than people who don't move? I mean for crying out loud, you have 12 hours! to figure out what to do and, nope, can't be bothered! Yeah, it kind of wrecks the game for everyone else when the neighbor of the lamehead grows too strong too fast, but whatevs.

And joining a live game minutes before then simply doing limp? WTF?

The People's Choice--Facebook's Top 5 Great Authors...by Likes--Thoughts?
At least from my searching for them on the pages with the most likes to their name...leaving aside the J.K. Rowlings, Stephenie Meyers, And Stephen Kings--Shakespeare (surprise!) ranks 1st with 6.8 million, Maya Angelou (surprise...?) is 2nd with over 4 million, Gabriel Garcia Marquez is 3rd with over 3 million, Fyodor Dostoyevsky ranks 4th with 1 million, and Jane "Life Begins at Man and Gossipy Bickering" has 900K. ...Thoughts on what that says about our popular choice in classic authors?

Player needed
gameID=132903

Anon, 50 point buy-in, 2 day phases. This group has played several games with each other, but we need someone to fill in one spot. Post here if you're interested. This is a pretty good group, so the games have been pretty challenging (we haven't seen a solo yet). As long as you don't have any CDs, I'll PM the password to the first interested player.
