Hey zultar! FUCK OFF!
These man up threads are total bullshit and the fact that a mod, who can't be mited was involved their creation makes me want to rip off his head and shit down his throat.

As it turns out, no one can tell when Draug is trying to be pissy with the mods and when he's trying to write satire as a call to action a la Jonathon Swift.

"Well this thread is my attempt to encourage them to be more respectful" bahahahahahahahahaha

@semck, krellin has verbally attacked nearly everyone on this site. It's not like zultar would do that to me, or even you.

abge and jmo, thank you for the clarification. I continue to think that mods should not wantonly put themselves in the position of seeming biased against individual players, but it is good to know that there are checks that should prevent the apparent injustice that would then ensue if they worked on those player's cases.

A note to lazy mods: hurry and attack each of us individually on the forums. ; )
Draugnar (0 DX)

@PE - I'm not the one preaching for a kinder gentler forum. So I don't honestly give a fuck if a thin skinned noob gets run off. But the mods made the stand a while back and don't (again just zultar) seem to be living up to their own standards they want us to follow.
semck83 (229 D(B))
17 Nov 12 UTC
@ghug,

Yes, he has, and responding to those attacks is fine. Starting one of your own is stooping to his level and, from a mod, not ok imho.
dubmdell (556 D)

dub 11:04 "The mods have on several occasions said they will not handle a case for personal reasons (and they /never/ moderate a game they're involved in)."

abge 11:05 "That situation doesn't arise because mods don't take cases where there appears to be a conflict of interest. I've excused myself from many cases for this reason. It is part of the mod culture."

jmo 11:06 "dubmdell is correct. If a mod feels like we cannot be fair in a case we step aside."

semck 11:11 "abge and jmo, thank you for the clarification."

I don't see a way to censor mods without also censoring the community, which I do not think would be a good solution.

Better than the average player? Bwahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!! Not by the example zultar set!
smcbride1983 (517 D)

@Draug, fair enough, but would it not solve the same problems by shitting in a toilet bowl. Frankly, I believe that once you get past the difficulty and legal ramifications of actually ripping a head off of someone, you just create more problems by trying to shit down their decapitated body. The least of which is setting them up in a position where your poop would actually travel down their throat. I am no anatomist, but I am pretty sure throats are quite thin, you aren't getting any feces through there without putting some time in with a pipe cleaner or a small dowel. If you must shit on them after the decapitation, I suggest having no preference as to where the shit goes.

Indeed, abge. That is why I was asking them to censor themselves, but refused dub's suggestion to email kestas about it.

@abge, I think the censorship of mods should be done by mods. Maybe you don't mute them, but when they step out of line a nudge from the other mods can get them to move back in the right direction. If, for example, you agreed with Draug that Zultar was out of line you might send him a PM, "Zultar, I think you should back off. Good job shaming Krellin and all, it was pretty funny at first, but now it has gotten out of line and you are essentially harassing. I think it would be best if you stopped." Then Zultar might think it is a good idea to stop.
Draugnar (0 DX)
17 Nov 12 UTC
@abge - The idea is not to censor the mods but for the mods to *self* censor. If this thread brings awareness to all the mods that they are held inesteem.to both noobs who are used to draconian mods on other sites and established players, maybe they will think before they post. I'm not held in esteem here and, as such don't give a fuck about censoring myself. But if I were, I would not post in the manner I do.
Celticfox (100 D(B))

I thought the idea was for everyone to self censor which hasn't really been happening all around.
Draugnar (0 DX)
17 Nov 12 UTC
And I should say, abge, you have shown exemplary restraint and been a model example.of how the mods shpuld conduct themselves here.
it's really funny how krellin has been a better sport about people trolling krellin than draug has
dubmdell (556 D)

It's the +1 system. It rewards those who don't censor. Except bo_sox. It never rewards bo_sox.

"And I should say, abge, you have shown exemplary restraint and been a model example.of how the mods shpuld conduct themselves here."

@PE - You're "number two". Now we just need to get you down zultar's throat.

Oy Vey--Can Someone Explain to Me Why...
...there's a RABBI on a Christian TV Network...reading from the New Testament and teaching people how to follow Jesus as their Messiah?
Either you're another Jews for Jesus guy--in which case...no...just no...that ship sailed 2,000 years ago, and you're talking about "calling ourselves Christians" so I don't think that's it--or some Christian network got a fake rabbi or dressed someone up...why? O.o

Are there a lot of people or "that one person per game" who plays for blood and not fun? And pretty much ruins it for others. Is that typically to be expected in these games 100%?

Are players allowed to threaten delay of game because they want in on a draw?
I am in a game where a player is about to lose because he stabbed me and I won't let him in on a draw now. Despite the inevitable, he is taking the full phase-length to enter moves to be a pain in the ass. Previously, he was entering moves immediately after phase start. Is this meta-gaming allowed, or can we somehow get him banned / speed things up?
