@MM - I have never heard any player that I consider to be good to bitch so much about a loss. CDs in the beginning of the game - Cancel. CDs later in the game - tough shit. Play with better players and don't play random live games. Shit happens in live games. You should know that. You play a ton of them.

I am not bitching about the loss -- everyone who plays this game losses far more often than they win. I simply complained about the lack of draw vote from Party, the eventual winner. But it's now irrelevant as I'll just keep playing through any CD, at any time -- that seems like the easiest way to solve the issue.

@MM - I don't have the number of games that you have, but I have played my fair share. And NEVER have I been involved in a game where a late game CD caused us all to Draw. Never. I would be pissed if someone left after I had played for 2 or 3 hours and then it was just drawn when I had a chance to win. Like I said. Early on = Draw. Later...not so much.

I have to say though, MM is probably a better player than most people in this thread. It takes a special someone to have a higher resign rate than solo rate.

Draugnar, I ALWAYS draw when there is a CD, unless it a) late and/or b) when a player is all but dead. I'm just sick of the hypocrisy and the rationalization about playing through CD's.

Well it would seem to me that after 05 would qualify as late and only 2 SCs would qualify as all but dead.

As this is the longest EOG thread of any game i ever participated in i will grant it one more post.
I (Turkey) started out ok. First Russian NMR in A 02 (which i did not see coming). i thought about offering a cancel right then but he did return, doing the best he could to fuck me up (support Serbia -> Budapest).
Second russian CD in A 04. Until then it was an almost normal game, except for Germany and Italy not getting their orders ready and pissing me off. I gained nothing off the russian NMR A 04 because i entered all orders as if he was active and didn't change them because i did not notice his NMR in time.
S 05: Ok... Russia is out, fine with me but the game is going on for a while, russia is a 4 SC power (3 SC really because it is clear he will loose Sweden in the next turn). Austria drops aswell which is inconsequential because he is down to two SC which are contested by Italy and me.
A 05: I gain nothing off Austria or Russia, why draw or cancel? I have invested more then a hour in this game already, mostly because of Italy / Germany not readying up and the damn NMR/CD guys.
S 05: Italy (MM) NMRs for the first time. He had a perfect chance to stall me, but he choose to do nothing?!
A 06: I gain SCs from Russia and Austria because of Italys inaction. Well, thanks for the presents, but by now we are almost 1.5 hours into the game and i am pissed at italy for being a tool. No Draw/Cancel by me for sure.
S 07 - A 07: Italy misses his build and all three turns while anoying me by just letting the turns run out. I just develope the feeling that i just want to kill Italy.
S 08: The italian corpse (1 SC) twitches one last time (even that in the wrong direction). Totally inconsequential. All i think by now is that i want to kill him.
A 08: I win.

I agree that the russian NMRs gave me a better chance but sure as hell did not make me unstoppable. The Austrian CD was inconsequential since he was down to two SCs and nothing more then a buffer between Italy and me.
Lucky me that England, France (who played like shit) and Germany did not even react to my advance.
Italy could have easily stalled me until a line to contain me could have been set up ne he (MM) squandered all chances.

I really don't see why i am getting attacked here by MM. By the time of the first NMR i was already in front, and Russia and Austria badly damaged. The win was not perfect, for sure, but not undeserved aswell, at least imo.
