ive only played a couple gunboat, but sometimes it just dosent make sense the moves people make. like just from a strategic stand point. is it just that people dont realize they will die? should i be playing higher point value games? england attacking germany in the face of a full on juggle dosent make sense....

Well the thing about gunboat is, you can't talk to Germany. You might not realize that your moves can communicate with him, or he might be too dumb to see what you're trying to say. In that instance, he might attack Germany because he fears Germany attacking him. Plus it's really hard to negotiate a ceasefire in gunboat.

@stuk - Its not hard to negotiate if you have a rational opponent. I could again point you at one I'm in where we've got experienced players, and have only lost one nation, yet are now into 1915 or so.

@vex - you need to move to more expensive games.

I like the image of juggling as a form of warfare. Could be pretty terrifying if you were doing it with axes I guess.

Juggling is only ever interesting if there is a chance that the person dies doing it.

Actually, the anti-Americans are clearly terrorists in disguise, so calling in the Marines to take them out is a very tame solution to the European problem.
