Am I better off than I was four years ago?
If Obamacare holds, yes, that'd help me be able t stay on my parents' plan until 24 or 26 (I forget which) and let me hopefully go to grad school rather than need to get a full-time job with health benefits at that age (which considering the medications I need and doctors I see, yeah, it helps I don't have to foot that for another few years.)
In terms of the economy--
Couldn't get a job four years ago...got one a couple years ago and lost it...tutored now for a while (until some bitch got my professor in trouble over the whole thing, so he's got his own problems and there's my business gone) and now that's gone...
So--I've gained and lost nothing over Obama, really.
Be honest, everyone:
DO YOU think Obama/Romney would make a difference in our economy 2013-16?
(I don't, maybe a negligible difference, but I think it's forces outside their control, largely.)
If you say yes...
Please--tell me why WITHOUT bashing the other guy/party, just tel me why you think Obama/Romney can/will have a positive impact on the economy '13-16.
As such...I'm not voting on the economy, krellin.
I'm voting on the social issues and other matters of policy, and where they'd like to spend/cut spending/tax, etc., but not the economy outright.
As such...
Am I better than I was 4 years ago?
In some ways yes, in some ways no...but enough good social change has been allowed for (or would be allowed for) in Obama's vision rather than Romney's that, well, I'll vote Blue again unless Romney somehow walks on water himself.
(I will say that's a slight deterrent in itself, to be honest, not that Romney's religious--we can't have politicians that aren't in this country, it seems--but that he's a Mormon, and I really do dislike Mormonism...now, if I liked what he had to say, I'd still vote for him, and just forget the fact the man believes the Garden of Eden was in Missouri and that the Native Americans were the Jews of the Bible instead of me--WHAT?!--but as I don't like hardly any of his social policies, any of his views, he's insulted allies ALREADY, and I don't think he can fix the economy...his belief in that strongly anti-LGBT faith and allegiance to its Church is just one more reason I won't be voting for him this Fall, it seems.)
