To Americans
Learn from this mistake. When given a chance to elect someone like Bernie again, do it. Don't go for the person that's a part of the establishment. It could've been Bernie getting ready for his victory speech now. You threw that chance away when you LET the establishment decide Bernie wouldn't win. Learn from this mistake so that you don't make it again. Better luck next time.

Best case scenario: Trump wins and is a lame duck who does only limited damage.
Worst case: Either of them wins and starts World War III

Realistically congress wont let her declare wars. Theyve let all other presidents do it. But They will hold her accountable

Are you saying that all US military adventures in the last 20 or so years were "common sense"???

If ou want to see an end to US involvement, you're going to need Jill Stien or Gary Johnson elected.

Well maybe Trump would ramp up US isolationism, and abuse IS military power in a different way... Like just blowing some stuf up while not invading...

Foreign policy wise, Trump would be better. Hillary's still delusional about setting up no-fly zones. That dumb bitch.

@pompeii: An interesting thought question

Clinton, best: Democrats win control of both houses in a shocking upset and she can actually put in the promises on things like addressing the student loan crisis, climate change, fixing Obamacare (hello, single payer), and resintates Glass-Steagal style restrctions on shadow banking. Gets replacements for Scalia and a retiring RBG installed on the Supreme Court

Clinton worst: GOP continue to obstruct everythign and spend all their time on stupid investigations. Open warfare between congress and the whitehouse, with a record number of vetoes. Clinton agrees to trade deals that eliminate effective environmental and labor protections because it's the only thing she can get the GOP to agree on. Wall Street runs amok and we get another finanical crisis. No action on climate change dooms future generations.

Trump, best: erractic leadership and endless stupid fights with congressional republicans means that for four years a shambolic government accomplishes nothing. The economy tanks under uncertainty. Democrats channel their inner John McCain and block Trumps nominees for four years (payback's a bitch!).

Trump, worst: erratic leadership provokes wars with Iran and NOrth Korea. North Korea responds by nuking SF and LA. Iran goes nuclear at speed as do Japan, Saudi Arabia and Egypt. Trump pulls out of WTO and all international treaties. Carbon emissions spikes and the world economy slips into deep recession, unable to keep up with the huge costs inflicted by various climate related disasters (actually this one is a possibility regardless).

Trump's foreign policy talk is tame compared to Hillary's. The idea that he'd start wars with Iran and North Korea is really dumb.

He said he'd instruct the military to fire on Iranian ships and ditch the nuclear deal. Just what do you think that means?

Nobody controls Iraq. It was a functioning state and people like Hilary Clinton destroyed that.

Iran is sending troops to assist in Mosul. They have very deep ties to the Iraqi government.

I do like to Think Trump would at least get a more realistic grasp on the situation with very long briefings and long talks with advisers and veteran congressmen and senators. I don't think he'd argue with congress because he's not as stupid and full of himself as people like to make him out to be. He's managed to get this far in business and knows his fiery rhetoric is only to get him headlines and votes. I do see him being much more diplomatic if he actually won.
Hannibal76 (100 D(B))

Trying to get people fired up is what I think he's doing when he talks like that. Hillary on the other hand has actually demonstrated what she's willing to do if given power.

I mean it is irrefutable that Hillary wants a war with Russia. She used this entire campaign to vilify Russia. She wants a no fly zone in Syria (which a 4 star general would say would take a full mobilization of the entire U.S. military to do and boots on the ground) and Russia has said they won't respect a no fly zone in Syria put up by the Americans. So, if you vote for Hillary you are voting for war. Thank god I am above the military draft age now.

Polarization Self-Assessment Thread
Politics has changed A LOT in the past ten years ago. In this thread, I'd like to encourage you all to think about your past political views and how greatly you've polarized over time. What issues do you care about today vs then? Why? Any original ideas or do you rely on the media for cues? Interested to hear some real self-assessment here! :)

Why is it that all (or most rather) live games are gunboat these days? I miss playing a fast game where people actually communicate and work together like how most of the games on here are played. Any idea why? D:

Viable Strategies for Austria
Whenever I play Austria I feel like I'm strategically forced to attack Turkey. I think that if Turkey isn't killed in the early game, he is basically forced based to go through Austria if he wants to reach the rest of the world. I know that this can't be the case, but I don't see the other strategies.
I would love to learn of some other options for Austria so I don't do the same thing every time I get it.
