Masters Poll
To those who are in the Masters, I'd like to put up to a vote whether we should keep phases for future rounds at 48 hours, or move to 36 hour phases. There are five rounds to play, and Round 3 will be launching in the next two weeks.

Apart from the fact that the turk should have been out 2 years ago and he still is in the game, there a very strange behaveour of england who is hitting all other players left, part from the italian who is winning. I refuse to belive that someone is so dumb as to do that! I would really love to know if they are or aren't in connection?! Ty

So many people know me, I don't even recognise them.
I just walked the dog. Came by a few kids, Morrocan roots I think. I'm white, not a racist, just noticed it usually happens with people with foreign roots, Morrocan most of the time. So any way, one of them said my name, asked about my dog blabla. Turns out they all knew me. I didn't answer. Just walked on. I don't get it. Anyone recognises this or anything?

I didn't understand most of the question. Mostly what I gathered is that you named your dog Blabla, which is pretty awesome. I can picture you out in your garden saying, "Blabla, sit. Blabla, stay. Good Blabla."

Its a general courtesy, I think. Since I believe that people in general are not completely evil, I think that many choose to speak to people they don't know and use obvious things they see as conversation starters. For instance, steephie, they saw you were walking your dog, so they asked about your dog. That doesn't mean that they don't know you, of course, but I think that most of the people that say Hi to you probably don't know you either.

I remember one time that I was in a group of a hundred or so people and we were all talking. We came and went to see different people and all that, but there were times that I came across the same person. Now I am really good with faces, but when it comes to names...let's just say I wouldn't have a shot in hell. But they didn't recognize me and started a brand new conversation again. (and I had to listen to him talk about his mother....it was like I was listening to Howard Wolowitz)

Is the cat named Yadda-yadda?
steephie22 (182 D(S))
17 Apr 13 UTC
They knew my name. That's the thing. Everybody knows my name and I don't even recognise their face. And no the dog's not named blabla :P

I was going to write the first reply myself but something came up...

So, anyway, I get the feeling about 1 in 5 people I meet in my hometown know me, while I know like 1 in a few hundred. And they know me by name, that's the weird thing. I even remember once they were celebrating sort of our version of Santa Claus (completely different, but that's the closest I think) so he came with a little parade to a school, I was running late for my own school so I just cycled by and I'd swear they all started screaming my name as soon as they saw me. And my name is NOT Santa Claus :P I dunno. I was stunned for weeks. It's not a joke. Anybody recognises that? What's going on? Why does everybody know me and I know no one?

@Steephie What do you do? I can't go into the local grocery store or target without bumping into someone who knows me as that Barista girl. I work and live in the same area so I've just gotten used to it.

I'm at high school. I don't really do a lot I think... I think I've thought through everything but just don't see what I'm missing. That's what's bugging me most. I don't just not have a clue, I had a lot of clues and got to a dead end every time. I suppose I could just ask how they know me but something keeps me from it, I don't know what. Don't have a clue on that either.

Also what's a Barista girl? :P

@steephie - Are you in band or play a sport or an artist that might have received some form of local recognition. Think about it. There may well be something that people remember you for locally.

Parents often have pictures of their kids and talk to co-workers etc about them, have the pictures displayed, etc. If it is people you encounter while walking your dog, I'm guessing it is the same neighborhood area so it is it really that improbable that there are people in your neighborhood that your parents have talked to (and talked about you) without you knowing? I don't think it is improbable that it is something along these lines.

Imagine if what those ladies wore *were* your dress code (it is for them). Would you be happy to always have the busom cleavage showing but getting the "buxom cleavage" tips? Or would you prefer to keep the ample bosom well hidden on a regular basis and lice on the normal $.50 or $1 tip per drink that you have to share?
Draugnar (0 DX)
17 Apr 13 UTC
Rampant may be onto the truth. You are young. Your parents are probably proud of you and your accomplishments (hell, your English is quite good for a highschool student and you are obviously very smart) so perhaps it's just you dealing with "proud parent syndrome".
Celticfox (100 D(B))
17 Apr 13 UTC
Well since they didn't look to be falling out I'd be fine with it. It's only cleavage after all.

Bring Back American Democracy
Filibusters should not be commonplace requiring a super majority for legislation and fellow Americans in sparsely populated states (with insignifant economies) should not have greater representation through the sae 2 senators as CA, NY or TX.

Because of shit like this, is why you don't have more registered users. I'm not going to be playing my games anymore, my wife isn't going to be playing hers, and I highly doubt myself or my friends will play on here ever again. Here's the email I just got from the admin:
