I like the general concept, but it'd really depend on where it was and when. (Not that I have a specific time in mind, just that it would depend on my schedule at the time).

The other consideration would be having it in an area that preferably a group of webDip users lived. Trying to organize a convention is tough on your own - it would be even harder if you were trying to organize something out of your own local area.

I have some experience here and would be happy to spearhead the whole thing. I am thinking Summer may be the best time. August because July is often filled with other vacation events. First I would like to know how many we would have interested then an area that would be good. California too far west and expensive. Texas ok but I do not like Texas personally. An area that has good food and some tourist attractions might be ok. I am thinking three days two nights and a hotel that has a convention room (most do) and some tables and a bar.

Though I don't think it would be fair to call it a webDip convention unless Kestas was there.

I hope somebody plans on buying all the mods and Kestas a ticket each...

Oh and a major airport because airfare would be cheaper here. Maybe a hotel at the airport to limit the need for rental cars.

I guess Imentioned the fact there are many minors here. I am aware that everyone wouldn't be able to make it. That is why I am asking who would be interested. Even if 15 would show I would consider it worth while.

I'm in KY, but think Columbus, Chicago, Indianapolis, or somewhere in Tennessee (Smoky Mountains anyone?) would be better. Now, if you were having a Sorvette gathering, KY is the only way to go.

I'd be interested presuming it was at a time I could get out of town and I could squeeze it into my budget, which I'd try very hard to do. I live in eastern Virginia, and I'd go anywhere I could drive - and I'd be willing to carpool.

Chicago is a big city, big airport, big everything. Indianapolis sounds good too, i could drive.

If it was anywhere on the East Coast or Chicago, I'd be in for sure. Anywhere else, I'd still consider but would be less likely.
