What is so hard about cricket? It's not like there are 500 different fouls and such to keep track of. The scoring is very easy. By contrast, who knows what happens during a scrum? And who can keep track of all the fouls?

I think Rugby League makes more sense, but nobody plays it except the Aussies and maybe in the north of England.

Wow, what an innings from Strauss! This world cup is turning out to be a doozy, which is great because the last two were kinda duds.

India is not invincible. Sri Lanka went down to defeat. Pakistan looks strong. Australia looks strong. England has recovered from their near humiliation vs Netherlands. This is a wide open tournament.

Ireland just beat the English. I thought they were dead when they barely had over 100 runs and had six wickets halfway through, what a comeback!

English bowling has been poor and they need to do something about it. They've let up over 300 runs in all three games, two of them against minnows (both they probably should have lost). I suppose on the bright side they manage to score 300+ every game, but still. Ireland is no India, and they come in here and a middle batsman hangs a century on them. England have yet to play South Africa, Windies, or Bangladesh. These are no gimmies. It would be truly embarrassing if they can't escape out of this group.

Apparently Ireland were quoted at 400-1 on some betting exchanges in the middle of their innings. That's a hell of a result for them!

That was embarrassing... Any other England fans think Jimmy Anderson needs to take a rest? I'd love to see him be replaced by Bopara or Shahzad, depending on if we need more in the batting or the bowling.

Most of the English team needs to take a rest. Playing a 7 match one day series after the Ashes was madness. It should have been limited to five at the very most (with maybe an extra 20twenty to make that a best of three). Still, England has never had a great one day side even at the best of times so we shouldn't expect too much. To England's credit we can at least say they have been the most entertaining team to follow so far in the world cup :).

anybody else think Canada should have one the game against Pakistan? Why couldn't our batting line up live up to its expectations. We lacked bowling in 2003 and 2007 and now it appears we lack batting instead.

Well as long as we can beat Kenya and Kenya obliterates Zimbawe Canada still could achieve 5th place in the group.

Great doubleheader tonight/this morning. Australia & Sri Lanka; England & South Africa. I'm not getting any sleep.

Also, Bangladesh was bowled out for 59. That's the most pathetic display I've ever seen by a host.

I am only going to watch the games that involve Canada and then the final.

Zimbawe is one of the worst teams in the world and lost to Kenya in the last 2 world cup matches they have had. Anything is possible.

I can't believe they're not going to even bother trying to make up the Sri Lanka-Australia game. What a shame.

I don't think so, since they call it an abandoned game. I could be wrong.
