Gunboat game

In the upcoming gunboat game named "Gunboat Sat Night", 4 of the players know each other. However, we are in separate places and do not have predetermined alliances. We are only creating a public game because it is very difficult to gather 7 players.

Why do people with kids

I'm a php/mysql developer and I'm interested in working on WebDiplomacy. When I look at the dev forum, it looks inactive and I don't see any way of registering.

Best strategy for Italy?

Unfortunately for me, I seem to play Italy quite often in my games. The first supply center Italy gets is Tunis, but what do you do after that? I searched some strategies for Italy on the internet an there were many conflicting viewpoints. One person argued that making an alliance with Austria and playing subtle, patient moves until you have an opportunity to back stab France was the best. What do you think? Is this true or not?

Worse. No matter what your opinion on the mods' recent actions, losing four prominent members weakens the forum. Hopefully some good will come of it in the long term. If not, then hopefully the policies will be changed.

Worse, but it's hard to tell right now because we're still all focused on the changes rather than just behaving as normal.

My opinions on the bannings themselves aside, I think Draugnar is the only big loss here, assuming krellin doesn't actually leave for good (I hate the guy, but I love him too). The community isn't huge, but losing one important member won't kill it, and something tells me that Draug will be back eventually.

I do hope that everyone, moderators and users both, starts following the common sense rule a little more. It sucks to have the forum actually moderated at all, and it would be better if a lack of moderation were to come out of a lack of need for it.

It's been only two days and it's been plagued by nonsense, how could you possibly gauge how good the forum is when it's been basically hijacked with crap? Better to ask again once the dust has all settled.

It is way too soon to tell. There simply hasn't been enough time for civilized adults to have noticed that the forum is no longer overrun by puerile assholes and join up in discussions. Give it a few months

koolaid story

When I was 10. I invited my best friend Matt over to spend the night. We wanted something to drink and luckily my mother bought 150 packs of powder koolaid. We had to of consumed about 8 gallons koolaid. We had the biggest sugar rush ever. I guess a a certain point we both past out. We woke up the next morning and my room looked like a bar after a fight. Matt and I had a headache that nobody should ever had. My mom walked in and laugh. she asked" Did you guys get koolaid drunk?"

Nuclear Diplomacy?

Would it be possible to make a balanced game of Diplomacy that included nuclear missiles? They add a whole other layer to typical geopolitics and I think they could do the same for diplomacy.

Nominations for The Greatest Musician/Musical Act of All-Time

To get away for awhile from fights over foreign fights and people being X'd out here (please don't smite me, Maniac!) we begin the follow-up to our Greatest Author of All-Time Tournament with the search for the Greatest Musician/Musical Act of All-Time!
