The Redskins Rule--RGIII vs. Cam Newton for the Presidency!
17 out of the last 18 elections it's been the case that if the Redskins win their last game before the election, the incumbent president wins; if they lose, the challenger wins.
SO! Months of campaigning and billions of dollars comes down to RGIII and the Redskins on Sunday...vs. the 1-6 Panthers and a slumping Cam Newton. ...Sorry, Romneyites...HAIL TO THE REDSKINS, HAIL VICTORY... ;)

gg, everyone
wow, lots of high quality gunboaters in this one. Pretty crazy game- especially with Splits wildling invasion of eastern Germany in the mid-game.
Such imagination early on in the Balkins

The rise of such a powerful jugger forced me to change gears in the west which probably added to the confusion.
Actually Italy played a pretty shitty game, knowing the person though that isn't surprising. Too bad I couldn't get on the same page with Czech.
Wonder how the jugger rose in the first place? Does it have something with Italy being completely clueless?
bo_sox48 (5202 DMod(G))

Roka, you have a 0% resign rate, the system forgives you.
I don't see what's so special about invasion of eastern Germany. To me it seems more wild play was German war against everybody on the board.

SC, as Germany, I was definitely cursing Italy's "crusher".

Germany was playing starnge, I anted to go against france, but he let russia into sweden (????) then he started attacking me, then france, then me again, then russia again :). It was quite odd ... He should have allied with me from the very first moment ...

''Actually Italy played a pretty shitty game, knowing the person though that isn't surprising.''

Was that really necessary?
He did the crusher AFTER the jugger was apparent AND France could have been threatening him in the Med. Its like a new player who thinks OH AN SC, LET ME GET IT.
"Was that really necessary? "

oh it was
Barn3tt (41969 D)

Oh, I was fine with Russia taking Sweden. However, when I saw Austria collapsing that fast I had to change gears. As far as France goes, I just wanted to keep him off balance. With a strong jugger in the east, I'm not sure why I would want another strong power in the west? Would that have helped me? I don't think so.
The Czech (41800 D(S))

It was a nice game. I was surprised at 5 draw requests after Austria went down. I wanted to wait for a few more to get eliminated. I would have continued except for England's CD. I felt France would have gotten too big.

Sorry Czech, I got a bunch of emails during the game which I had to answer, and I completely lost time control. I apologize everyone, I feel really bad now.
first game in 7 months reminded me how helpless you are as Austria in these situations
fulhamish (4134 D)
03 Nov 12 UTC
Given your record you seem pretty helpless whatever country you draw.

Given england's early move on France, I had a choice, join in or rely on a quite eastern border. I chose the latter a perfectly valid choice I think, shame we have a sore loser carping on with personal insults and a proven shit record for everyone to see.

It looks like it was a mistake to enter that Serbia support Bulgaria to Rumania move in A01 instead of supporting to Greece.
"Given your record you seem pretty helpless whatever country you draw."

My record isn't bad, and your play speaks for itself.

You looked at a juggernaut and just kept on hammering, it is obvious you are clueless so I won't waste my breath.

"It looks like it was a mistake to enter that Serbia support Bulgaria to Rumania move in A01 instead of supporting to Greece."

No it wasn't, I needed a friend, If I would have taken greece It wouldn't have mattered if I had three players on my borders. I thought Turkey would see he had no chance for greece and go for Romania. I needed his support, I couldn't get it. It was the right move.
"join in or rely on a quite eastern border"

So you get a quiet eastern border by strengthening a juggernaut

from an outsiders perspective: Turkey going Piedmont to Tuscany Gets him Rome and then Naples no problem, meaning he only needed one more to Solo and could potentially have broken a line somewhere for the 18th...
cspieker (18223 D)
04 Nov 12 UTC
Germany was going to take back St. Pete, so I don't think the solo was going to happen for him. But if he had wanted to grind away for a couple more years, you are right, he could have eliminated Italy, and got it down to three.
butterhead (90 D)
04 Nov 12 UTC
Support hold St. P with Moscow, put the unit Warsaw in Prussia and the unit Galicia in Warsaw, force the unit out of Liv and keep support holding St. P and potentially keep it. it was a toss up on if he would lose it or keep it. but yea, getting it down to 3 was also a possibility.
The Czech (41800 D(S))

I knew Germany was going to retake StP.
I didn't want to grind on with England's CD.

@The Czech- you had a shot man. a pretty good shot too. taking Italy could have convinced French man to take Tunis and end it 3 ways. but of course, every thing is a Gamble huh? looks like you guys had a pretty interesting game thats for sure.

''My record isn't bad, and your play speaks for itself.''
Win % = 8% Drop out rate = 5% and where the fuck are you on the all time ghost list, I couldn't find you.
As to me allowing the jugger, most of the time in a straight game it splits up anyway usually over former Austrian territory and that is just what happened here,

Finally, what is with the 5% resign rate, sore loser throwing your toys out of the pram?
I havent' played in 7 months and i play vast majority live gunboats, doesn't do wonders for the drop out rate, win rate or the ghost rating. 5 times out of a hundred when you play live games is hardly alot for a drop out rate
and what the fuck is a pram.
fulhamish (4134 D)
04 Nov 12 UTC
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Your drop out rate is much more than anyone elase in that particular game for example.
And that 8% win rate and unknown ALL TIME ghost ranking is just shit isn't it?
So to repeat you are a bad player and, much much worse, a sore loser with a 5% resign rate who spoils the game for the other players involved.

I wouldn't point either of these two obvious facts out had you nor persisted in throwing personal insults at me in a game thread.
Actually there was someone else with 3% with 21 drop outs. I have NEVER been told I have a high drop out rate. 5% is far from 'sore loser' I dropped out 5 times. Every single time was the result of the internet going down, a common occurence in my old place or something coming up where I had to leave or got held up and didn't make it to the start of the game in time. I have NEVER quit due to losing a game and I resent you suggesting that I have.

You can call me a bad player all you want, we can all see your play that game and it was short sighted shit.
And I'm supposed to be a player on the All time ghost rankings with 100 games played?
fulhamish (4134 D)

''And I'm supposed to be a player on the All time ghost rankings with 100 games played?''
!!!!!!
Scroll down to # 1631 and there you are.

https://sites.google.com/site/phpdiplomacytournaments/theghost-ratingslist

That is the thing about percentages, they normalise things; so yes I am pleased to tell you that 5 resigns from 100 games is indeed shit and is a very poor example of sportsmanship.
