I had a bad patch late last year with the GFDT round 1. I came out of two PPSC games with 10 centres when up against players who were below my rating on average.

I had a question about the rankings---I'm listed as a "re-entry," I'm guessing that's because I was inactive for a while. Does that mean you must play a minimum of 1 game in between ghost ratings to be included month to month?

I've got to quit bleeding off GR playing players so much better than me and start cleaning some n00b clock to get my GR back up...

You lose GR if you lose in WTA and you gain if you win. How much you lose is always the same no matter who you play. How much you win is based on the quality of your opposition. Playing n00bs won't boost your GR as much as playing top 500 players assuming you win, but they are easier to beat.

what happens with draws?
they are more usual than wins :P

@Shah, you are dropped from the list if you haven't completed a game in the last three months. I am also a re-entry because I did not complete any games in October, November, or December, so was not on the January list.

@hellalt, ghost rating is like points except you contribute based on your rating at the end of the game. If you lose, then you lose those points, doesn't matter how strong the opponents were. If you win or draw, then you get points based on how strong the opponents were. (Or survive in PPSC.)

@HR, I believe they do not count. I believe it only looks at fully completed games. But it is theoretically possible that it could estimate the loss of rating based on your current rating, although the actual loss is determined based on your rating when the game has completed. It would be really messy because it would have to refactor previous months and such, so I would bet that it does not.

As Alderian says, a draw is an even split of all the GR points. Draw with a bunch of noobs and you can have a net loss in points. My one non-league win was almost a draw that included enough other players to cost me SCs, but I snookered the n00bs and got the win in the end.
