Luckily, I had not already told abgemacht who I am in that World game, or poured out the dirt on my opponents... Close call that one.

As he will tell you, I made that mistake with Chris once, and it wasn't even an anon. game!

I am still, therefore, in need of someone with experience...

Gunboat played properly is very different from a standard game and apart from trying to kill off the pond scum who infest the map with me I am also trying hard to disguise who I am. If that sounds strange for an anon Gunboat, believe me, log in times and the way you finalise (or not) can be a dead giveaway.

Then, the World game is very challenging as it starts as a series of regional disputes and them gradually opens up to something wider... You need good eyesight for the map too. We have one very good game going. I did not mean to imply that I was doing particularly well in it but the game seems clean and balanced. It will be a very long one for the final few.

And in the case of the two dogs I am playing? Well, they are dogs, so what can one expect?

Still trying to identify a suitable sitter. The first volunteer is disqualified on the basis that we are both in an anonymous game together.

I suppose the perfect irony would be for one of the persons currently responsible for the two doggy games I am in offers to take over.

Jamie, I have not said no, I just need to know that you are comfortable with the variants. I will give some guidelines but I am a believer in letting the sitter actually play according to their own judgement.

I may not be qualified, but if you don't find a more suitable sitter I could do it. I communicate very frequently and have had moderate success so far (also I play a lot of ftf diplomacy at a Strategy games club).

Hm, flashman if you are still in need of a suitable player then I will volunteer. I've played gunboat a few times and so I kind of have a feel for it....

I'm down to one game and was planning on not joining any others for a while. I could sit for a week if you need it. However, my luck in World Map variants is not good. But if you need someone, I could do it.
