Spain should have moved to Marseilles, not bounced with Piedmont.

Hi, I am new to this site but have played Diplomacy online before through other venues. Anyways, I have a question that wasn't answered in the FAQ.

Firefox (3.6) issue
Sometimes I cannot use my wose wheel and keyboard on this page. Something on this page suddenly disables both. For example, I want to write an ingame message and suddenly, the letters I enter do not appear anymore and I get a sound message instead (ping. Windows Vista here).
It just happened when I was writing this message, after the first "s" of "ingame message".

I tried to disable ABP but without effect. I don't have any other plugins.

Jack Klein
like I said spa support could easily be cut
so you should have seen that you needed to attack from spa while wes-spa
but it was late anyway cause you were jerking off for years in Iberia doing nothing
You need to go back to the basics.
I consider it a success that I survived this game.
btw if your move in the last spring was an attack to bre I would move par-gas cutting your support and allowing Austria to win so that I survive. I have seen so many irrational moves from you that I was prepared to grant Austria the victory myself
Oh and I forgot something: Have you ever seen England trying to fight both France and Germany like you did in the midgame? It's called diplomacy for a reason. You can't play Great Napoleon shithead.
You are added to my fucking morons list.
hellalt (113 D)
23 Feb 10 UTC
ava2790 maybe you do because you are a player of the same caliber with Jack Klein...
Jack_Klein (897 D)
23 Feb 10 UTC
Considering how poorly you played, I'll consider that a lovely bouquet of roses for you. You'll notice that aside from that poke, I left Germany the hell alone once Austria started to dominate.

You, on the other hand, instead of going for a draw or win, played with yourself and screwed up repeatedly.

I think "fumble" was the word they used in the commentary, and I rather think its apt.

That retreat to NAO instead of POR was just a noob move hellalt.

I thought it was a fairly well played game. Sure, mistakes were made, I can name a couple I made, but the human element is what makes this game fun.

I enjoyed this game, and I kind of feel bad for Hellalt that he's got to rage this much about a game.

You won fairly, jimgov, I hope I do better next time, thats all. :P

I screwed up big time early. Once Italy got a wild hair and went after Turkey, I had Tri to to Vie instead of Ven. I could have taken both Ven and Rome that turn. I was kicking myself after that one.

jimgov (219 D(B))

I don't know what he was doing. He disbanded his A Ven and left two fleets and an army next to you. Strange, that's for sure.

When your on the defense against two nations and already in a corner to begin it's hard.Thought Russia going cd was my ticket out but Italy the "ASS CLOWN" kept at me to his own demise.
hellalt (113 D)

yadhogrojaul go fuck off - and change your nickname
Jack Klein - mistakes are human but you less than human. My dog plays better diplomacy than you
ava2790 - the retreat to nao instead of por was absolutely cool. If I retread to por I would just be on the defensive for the whole game. I'm playing to win so with that move I was hoping to get England on the defensive. I didn't expect you to understand that. Brains are required.
btw would you mind if I brag that I was the only one with no alliances at all getting hammered by 2 power all the time yet I managed to have the same result as England and Germany who were supposed to go after the victory (what a joke, it was obvious that only Austria knew how to play the game and could win).
let me also remind that you England are the ONLY one to blame for letting Austria win.
So congrats you win a spot in my precious blacklist

Even after you had his home centers where was he expecting to build if he gained on me.I hate those players who go rogue and attack anyone to get a SC to keep there force count the same in a WTA game works okay in PPSC as you can hope to last and recoup some points but in WTA it is a bad stategy as you just mess up some one elses game.
jimgov (219 D(B))
23 Feb 10 UTC
The rich keep on getting richer. While we were talking, I came from behind to win another game. He had 17 SCs and had one in Turkey surrounded. He took it, and I took 2 from him. Woo Hoo! It's a jimgov kind of night.

Just saw the last few moves, which I had missed. Jack Klien, you really could've done better with the stalemate line around Iberia. England is the one power that can stalemate Mediterranean fleets in Iberia and sad to say you didn't have the right units there to do so...
Jack_Klein (897 D)
23 Feb 10 UTC
It was that Austria army in Burgundy that really threw off the attempt. Without that being there, I think I could have held on to Marseilles. I tried to land an army in Picardy to assist in bottling that guy up, but got shafted by France.

I still maintain the big turning point was my poking of Denmark... I would have been able to get into position 2 or 3 turns before then if I wasn't having a little size contest with Germany in the north. Live and learn. Or at the very least, live. :P
ava2790 (232 D(S))
23 Feb 10 UTC
I wouldn't say this is strictly true, but it is usually a perfectly good tradeoff to stalemate Italy/Turkey/Austria effectively around Iberia, instead of actually controlling the SCs in Iberia itself. Usually a fleet in Portugal with one fleet in MAO and one fleet in NAO is enough to keep the stalemate.
jimgov (219 D(B))
23 Feb 10 UTC
Thanks, otto.
Jack_Klein (897 D)

Ava: I would agree in principle, but in this case, it was those SCs (in particular Marseilles, Spain was the 19th) that Austria needed to complete its solo... and since France was unreliable (he says himself he was trying to throw the game to Austria), I had to try.
hellalt (113 D)
23 Feb 10 UTC
You tried the wrong way you DUMBASS
You tried supporting from SPAIN
Spanish support could be easily cut and it was cut
the correct choice was only one
spa-mar with bur support (and wes-gol to cut support or wes-spa to cover spa, a 50-50 situation)
You need to enter school of diplomacy
Jack_Klein (897 D)

Burgundy had an Austrian army in it. You could have gotten rid of it, but you chose to go back to Brest.

Blame me all you want, but you played quite shoddily yourself.

How does cheating get investigated on this site?
I know I am new to this site (but I am certainly not new to diplomacy, either web based or otherwise) so how do I get anyone to investigate possible cheating on this particular site - if indeed any investigations into cheating do actually occur on this site.

It is just that I have an gunboat game that has an awful of very co-ordinated moves - more than you could resonably expect from a gunboat game.
