02 Jun 17 UTC Spring, 2008: [India]:Damn it near East no means no
02 Jun 17 UTC Spring, 2008: [India]:We will raise tax on spices We ship you from now on
03 Jun 17 UTC Spring, 2008: [Near-East]:Europe's right -- those incredible spices were the final temptation that tipped my hand. King Abdullah's palace is clouded with them as we speak... And yet, his hunger for savory, indulgent experiences is whetted only for a few, starving moments.

The constant negative press covfefe eventually drove him to look in the mirror, see who he was, and take up a more grandiose life style of large-scale criminal villainy. His carbombs will block out the sun. . .

USA is just as cynical, but the media glosses over it. Tune in next time -- Al Jazeera, and our new subsidiary Infowars will open your eyes to the truth!

And somewhere in Riyadh, a memo is circulating, and two words are spoken across the city among dark minarets..: "Reactivate Gassolini"

27 Jun 17 UTC Autumn, 2012: [Near-East]:I thought game lore was that there's a refrigerator-submarine full of his clones in the waters off the shores of the Caspian Sea, and Abdullah has been steadily feeding them out to various theaters of chaos to create discord and menace.
27 Jun 17 UTC Autumn, 2012: [USA]:For posterity, I'd like to point out that I was unable to enter one order I intended to for this turn (Autumn 2012), due to a bug. The order I want is apparently not considered valid by the software, although it definitely is. I have contacted the mods about 24 hours ago but did not receive an answer so far.

I might end up telling what it was I wanted to submit, but obviously not before doing so cannot give away any (more) information about my plans.

03 Aug 17 UTC [Near-East]:Al-ḥamdu lillāh! Abdullah sips nectar tonight in Riyadh!

And a new coronation anthem plays out from the gold-lined minarets of this new, pan-imperial city, as the world's major powers meet swear in a new, Saudi world order:

Thanks to you all, my fellow world domination enthusiasts for a great match. This one had epic sweep, and great storytelling. And big thanks to Ghana and Kenya for facilitating Oz's final survival, and happy retirement in NSW.

I've been very busy with work recently so I haven't kept up with Europe/Kropotkin's news updates as we finished up the game, but I'll type them up in the next day or two, and would love to otherwise swap musings, insights and banter on the game.

I personally would award "GAME's Most Influential Player" title to Pacific Russia / Bladerunners, who seemed to go from World-Class power to "sick man of Asia" in the space of 2-3 years in a series of staggering moves/defeats.

Putin's (final White Russian army) flight across Siberia was a momentous thing, and changed the outcome of the match dramatically. Quite the "poison pill"!
03 Aug 17 UTC [Pacific-Russia]:Congrats DealMerchant! ya this game went downhill fast. i created it but it but that didn't seem to help :-) Lack of interest in diplomacy from some players didn't help but that's pretty common in world. The first European player with BBC updates was highlight for me.
03 Aug 17 UTC [USA]:Congrats indeed. It was a nice game. The BBC updates were awesome :-D
03 Aug 17 UTC [Western-Canada]:I sense some unmasking here. Now I know it was DealMerchant behind those cables to Moscow. We need a Congressional inquiry!! Anyway, congratulations DM! A solo in world is a sight to behold. But to temper it down a bit, one of your opponents was Captain Brad so it's not like a "real" solo. ;)
03 Aug 17 UTC [South-Africa]:well well well. i survived and major mitchell didn't
03 Aug 17 UTC [South-Africa]:oh, hauta, how much did you spend to play?
03 Aug 17 UTC [Oz]:Damn, I can't believe I made it to the end! Thanks for a great fight Hauta and sjrd. I learned a lot. Fantastic job, DM. You the man
