As Austria, I usually hope for a friendly Italy and a friendly Russia. Equally (or perhaps moreso), I hope for a Russia that agrees to bounce in Galicia and then doesn't bounce me. I got both of these in spades. Unfortunately, Turkey also got Sevastopol and the West looked hungry for some Bear. A WT seemed to be brewing, and Italy, in 1902, allied with Turkey. Not a good sign...

In 1901, I moved to Tyrolia to bounce Germany from moving there in anticipation of a WT. Italy misread this. My 1901 build of a fleet and army were to take on Turkey (since I needed two fleets and Italy seemed to be heading West to deal with France). The build was probably at a bad time, considering Italy didn't like Tyrolia already.

1902 saw some amazing coordination and trust with Russia. Props to you, tzar. Italy was a douche though, but fortunately the WT fell apart before it even got rolling, so then we all grew weary of e.e. cummings speak and drew the game before it affected GR! Hurray!

Personal notes:
Italy - why you no want to be frieeeeeeends?
Russia - Great coordination. Loved it. There may be merit to e.e. cummings speak in a PP game.
Turkey - sorry no one liked you except the pope. Nothing personal, I have just never had a successful Austro-Turkish alliance.
West - you guys sucked. You kept bumping my messages off the press board. My beautiful poems! But seriously, let's do this again, y'all.

Austria - no need to apologize - Austria Turkey is damn near impossible. if I hadn't a f*ed up and gave Sev back I wouldn't have entered my draw, and wouldn't have immediately needed a friend with the eminent demise of Russia. Oh well...

I am curious as to why everyone drew? I did just because I saw a bunch of other draws entered, saw a disparaging comment about ee cummings becoming tiresome, and figured this game was going to fall apart.

Same here. When four people were voting draw, I figured it was a dead game.

The Western Triple didn't have to fall apart. Maniac, why were you so freaked about F MAO?

I was last to vote draw, figured everyone was fed up with my poor verse : (

@dipplayer I wasn't especially freaked by move to MAO but that and disputing bel with Germany and your open diplomacy with Italy and self bounce in western med indicated you weren't committed to the triple. IMHO France has to move south strongly for triple to work.

Enjoyed this game. I knew nothing about ee Cummings prior to the thread asking for players, so learnt something as well. Thx guys.

I was too nervous about how chummy England and Germany were. I didn't feel safe enough to move south.

I concur that Timur showed a gift for the format.

Fascinating experiment, but I think the e e cummings speak became really quite a headache after a few turns.
