I am Turkey and was working closely with Austria and Russia for several years. Austria then stabbed Russia and I promised Russia I would help him out. It was a minor stab though and Russia screwed up with Germany, pretty much ending his run early.

So, the game continues and Austria and I are doing pretty good. England and France work their way through Germany, hitting him while he was busy with Russia, and Austria and I demolish Italy. So, it's basically the four of us. I see a chance to grab 5 SCs: one from Russia's remaining two, but I told him I was going to do it, and four from Austria. Well, I couldn't resist and did the stab. It put me in the lead at 12 SCs versus England's 10.

Anyhow, Austria is livid, of course, and refuses to talk to me in private email anymore (the judges don't like email from my Blackberry for some reason) and insists she'll never believe anything unless I send it through the judge because she believes I may be BCCing France or England. It seems during one email I sent to France, I BCCd Austria and so she thinks I was doing that all the time and doing it to her as well.

I actually forwarded my all the messages I sent her from my Sent Items folder so she could see the headers and see that I hadn't been deceiving her the whole time and it had just been a sudden decision to grab the 5 SCs.

I was totally caught off guard with her level of paranoia after the stab...

Its a stab of course she isn't going to belive you. In my game Diplomacy On A Bun, England andf France stabbed me (I was germany) and I shoulda seen it coming the signs were obvious xD so atm, I'm trying to get italy to attack me and frankly I wouldn't listen to a thing they say.

It wasn't that she didn't want to talk, but the paranoia of the particular method of talking I found so humorous...

I don't talk to them either unless its about proper sandwich making techniques wich they are both off on aswell.

If you are playing on the judge, all communication should be through the judge. I, too, would be very suspicious of someone trying to communicate outside of the judge mechanism. If the judge doesn't like email from your blackberry, then contact Chris, the JK.

That's like saying if your playing on this site, all communication should be through this site. Players have, for years, used outside tools to communicate. The judge keeps a record of all communications and if the game isn't set up quite right, a sneaky player can see the communication not intended for them. They can't do that through my mail server. That aside, there is nothing in the rules that says all communication must be through the judge and the judge even provides the from email address on every message sent to you from another nation.
