He has the balls in a game I'm in to say he needs a break from Diplomacy and refuses to unpause, yet here he is dicking around making an ass of himself.

My most recent thread was a formal request for moderator intervention. How is that grounds for banning? I have gotten a warning from Kestas telling me to not start "self-indulgent" threads. I have stopped starting such threads, and thus should not be banned.

That "Ban Edi" thread DEFINES self-indulgence, diplomat.

Hasn't this already been discussed and shot down? Since he would only get banned for spamming, which he isn't doing. You're making it into a bigger issue than it is. I have no problem with him, because I realize he isn't worth paying attention to.

He cranks out at least one nonsense thread a day, even after the warning.

The discussion included a warniong to him that he WOULD be banned, so it hasn't been shot down. Quite the opposite in fact. I just hope Kestas decides he has had enough and diplomat is damaging the reputation of the forum/site.

Pandarsenic, that is an unproved estimation, which is not true. I have restricted my Forum use to Diplomacy-related topics, suggestions, and requests for moderator intervention. Just because you disagree with my threads doesn't mean I should be banned.

Also, I voted to unpause in "Call of the Wintermoon"

Diplomat, your topics have been:

1) A "fuck you all" shoutout assuring us he was going to refrain from spamming only because of the warning
2) A "discussion" of whether the army should be represented by a tank.
3) A request to ban Edi Birsan.

1) Ignore his threads. Doesn't work, he'll bump them if we don't.
2) Harass him into leaving. It hasn't worked yet but damned if I won't try.
3) Get official action against him for his "parole violation."

I have to agree with Ivo. I'm no fan of diplomat's hijinks, but these kinds of threads create a bad atmosphere in the community just like his do, no matter who they target. Let's all let this one die so we can reclaim the forum space with something more positive. If diplomat chooses to mess with the community further I'm sure his actions will come home to roost sooner or later.

@ Pandarsenic - I didn't mean to start an argument - as I agree with most of what you say - just not the actions you suggest.

When it comes to the Forum - what's the big deal if he writes crazy stuff. Ignore him or ridicule him - this is the best approach, me thinks :)

I personally find it amusing and entertaining - and I would miss Diplomat and some others who 'spam' in the forum. Should I now start gathering votes for them to not be banned? :) This simply makes no sense.

As for the game - yep, he clearly is acting like an *** - but I would guess he's only doing this to provoke others - and you can always ask a moderator to unpause a game if someone is being a prick.

Oh, sorry - if I had read thewonderllama's post I would have stopped writing. Cheers all :)
