Yeah, 100 points is bad, because a new player is encouraged to go CD if things go bad.

Please don't be hesitant. Technically I am not a 'new' player. I've played duplomacy many times before just not on this site.

I don't join games though, so It's really not my fault that he/she joined when I made the game. If you don't want to join don't join. This is my first and only account thank you :)

I can tell you i am not Zezima, i was looking for games to join and i dediced to join this one because of the buy-in being 100, just decided to take a chance. I don't see what the problem is with me joining it?

the 'problem' is you joining in the same minute as Zezima. Just susicious...

I can't remember what I had to do to make an account but could you really make one in under a minute.

ZOMG the other to who joined our game were only a few minutes apart They MUST be multi-accounters :O... no I don't think so.
On a more serious note I never thought it would be this much trouble to start up a game XD. If you want to know my reasoning behind the 100 point game it was because I figured I had nothing to lose so there really was no difference between a 100 point game and a 10 point game because I'm definately not going to play ten 10 point games.

Shrimpy--the time that you "officially" join this diplomacy community is the moment that you join your very first game. so yes, it's very possible that Zezima logged off, then logged in as The Master, and joined the same game...all in less than a minute.

I don't know where you guys are looking to find when we joined the game because I can't even find it. Besides that Chrispminis (sounds like a cereal name btw) even said we wern't multi-accounters.

if you click on your name, it shows your profile. thats how people know that you and the master joined the site at the exact same minute

The mods will confirm that you aren't multi-accounting, so you will be cleared if innocent. The issue is more about why I, as a more experienced player, won't join games with 100 point buy-in.

The reason is that a new player, say, The Master, joins the game, plays all his points. The first 2 turns go by and he makes a mistake. There is absolutely NO consequence if he simply CDs the game. He immediately gets his 100 points back and can try again. Meantime, I've got 100 points - that I won't get back, by the way - invested in a game with people who aren't committed to playing. I have to wait 2 turns for the person to CD, then the position will often get picked up by someone else, and then half the time THAT person CDs. (There is some push to get Kestas to change this, to have a consequence to going CD).

At 30 points or so, I expect that maybe a new player won't see a bad situation as so hopeless - they have have 2 or 3 games going, and therefore don't need to get the points back right away. At 101 points, a player will have at least one game finished, so they're not a guaranteed CD.

Yeah I see your point clearly and I understand what you are saying. If you don't want to join then don't. I didn't understand the way this site worked before I posted that game so I didn't know. I do now though so thanks for taking the time to explain things to me unlike the others who just accused me falsely.
