You mean Italy? I don't think it's so strange, I have seen people taking the place of CD players with only 1 sc. And as it's hard to find good matches starting nowadays, he could have decided to join that game instead of waiting for another to start.

To be honest, if a player doesn't really get the whole idea of diplomacy its not that uncommon that they wouldn't look at the fact that they only have 2 SCs.

In fact there was at least one incident where somebody took over a CD country with 1 SC, which wasn't a home SC, that had no units.

I've taken a look into it and there are no links of this player to any other player. This looks legit to me.

Do you think it's normal a guy enter a game, first and ONLY game, and makes a move that clearly beneficts another player?
It's not 2 or 3 games, just register and enters that peticular game.

No, but I was saying that I do not see the link between joining a weak CD and being a multi as very strong if existent.

I have seen it happen several times....repeatedly...in the same game for the same power.

Some games act like magnets for new players. Maybe it is a design fault with the join button too close to the tab that shows the map and the cost of joining for each CD country. I joined a couple by mistake when I first came here.

And most important...
The guy registered just before the time ended to make the turn on time.
I like to win, I don't worry about losing.
Losing like this is just not nice.

Just to play devils advocate, most of the games with the repeated strange joinings have high pots that keep them at the top of the page.
This game does not have a high pot.
When you say he has no links to any other players llama do you mean on the site or just in the game? The way the 'left' system works creates a perverse incentive for the person who went CD before to create a new account and take themselves over. Just saying.

Has anyone managed to make contact with the Player. I have tried a couple of times with in game messages but he has not responded.

Well It Looks as though this game is going to be spoiled by this episode :

Turkey and A-H are now saying that they will not continue to play, this means that they will go CD in a couple of rounds, and new players will not honour old alliances and may threaten existing ones.

Llama please can you Pause the Game as originally requested. Can you then attempt to make contact with Italy and resolve the issue once and for all.

Additionally - If possible can we get agreement from all players to wind the game back to the last round when Italy was in CD.

I agree to keep Italy as it was, and turning the game back 1 turn.

It might be 2 Turns if the next deadline expires. Llama can we act before the next turn deadline as this will show peoples hands in other areas of the game.

They still think that Italy was taken by someone conspiring to multiaccount, and that the only person to gain from this was France. If the A-H FLeet had moved France would not necessarily take Tunis.

If they go CD then it will spoil the way this game was developing and I too would probably choose to go CD.

I have suggested as a solution that all players accept a Draw.

Well, that seems very much not to be the case, given that a moderator has already checked it out, so I suggest they read the thread, understand that to be the case, and learn to accept the reality of what CD-takeovers do to a game. You should learn to make them benefit you by offering an alliance.

It is difficult for A-H to make an Alliance with someone who has not been Online since they signed up for this game (the only game they are signed up for) and who has refused to answer any communications from anyone.

As you obviously didn't believe/listen to Llama, I will repeat his point.
I have also checked, and can find no evidence of multi-accounting between any players in your game

I myself stated that I agree with the Mods decision.

It is A-H, Turkey and England that do not agree.

I was trying to provide ways out for people without spoiling what was a great game.

I initially thought is was starnge but clearly stated that I would go with the Mods Decision.

New players will often do strange things because they don't understand the game. Your best bet is to open up dialogue with such a player and recommend some "good" moves. =D

Also seeing a slew of new players joining the same game is not any conclusive evidence of multi accounting because what exactly do you expect new players to do? Join the one game that's set up!

We (that is A-H and I) have tried to dialogue with the New Player and he has not been back on line since creating his account, joining the 1 game, and entering the 1 move that disrupted A-H.

Not even to join other games.

Obviously we have suffered from a New Player who joined and didnt like what he saw, he decided not to play again. - This can be the only conclusion as Llama has checked that there is no multi going on.

Oh well we live and learn as they say.
