I don't know if taking over CD-s is good enough explanation - it shouldn't be mathematically possible. I have not gone into the details of the points system, but just think about it:
When multies started the game, the pot couldn't be bigger than 700 credits, currently the pot size is 1890 credits. The year is 1905 (autumn) while 3 territories are in CD. From the log it can be seen that all the countries were active the first turn, then from the autumn 1901 until autumn 1903 all the countries besides English were inactive, apparently at the spring 1903 also English quit playing. Then Turkey entered once again into the game & submitted his moves at the fall 1903. Austria & English were reactivated at Autumn 1904 & fig probably took over Italy just now.
I'm assuming that that the first CD was taken over at the autumn 1903. By that time there were in total 27 units & SC-s (out of 34 possible). This means that the price for taking over Turkey should have been (at least around) 700/27*3 ~77 credits, so the total pot should have been around 777. By the time English & Austria were re-activated, there were still 27 units & SC-s occupied, which means that new English player contributed 777/27*8 ~ 230 credits (1007 in total) & Austria 1007/27*3 ~ 111 credits (taking that Austria joined after England, which is the least favorable in terms of proving the case) , making the pot total 1118 credits. Now, when Italy has been taken over, the number of SC-s is 31 & the number of units 28. However the pot is calculated (either SC-s of units, or something else, I have to admit that I still quite don't get it), 1118/31*3 or 1118/28*3, the total pot size can't be bigger than 1226 (or can it?). This calculation should be at least somewhere near to the truth unless some of the countries were taken over during this 5 years by third persons without them making a single move with their units & countries falling into CD again (and even then there should have been several such cases to make the pot size up to 1890).
Just correct me if I have got the points system all wrong (what are the alternative calculation possibilities for points - I know that mine are not 100% correct, as these calculations doesn't seem to correlate with the CD prices in the games list, but would it be possible that I have missed the calculation by 2 times!!?).
I almost got the urge to join the game to prevent Salmaneser or c4l3m having an easy victory :D
