Live games

I'm sure this has previously been talked about but these forums make no sense to me so not sure how to search.

How is it possible to find a live game with 6 others players that will actually play? Because it takes me something like 10-20 attempts to get one decent game.

Checking game set up - NMR

I want to set a game so that it never processes a turn with out orders. I think that is setting “Turn” = 0.
But if I set “Delay”= 2 does that mean a two day/phase pause before that player is kicked? Or is he kicked immediately and there are 2 days for a replacement to appear. In the latter case what happens after the 2 days?

morality v behavior

I really like this Youtube creator. cgpgrey is probably one of my favorite content creators on Youtube. If you haven't seen his video on automation called "Humans need not apply" you should definitely check it out.

I do too yoyoyozo, though jmo is right this my new favorite. On humans need not apply: I think people get a bit too freaked about AI, although I know very smart people like Bill Gates and Elon Musk are concerned (although others like Zuckerburg aren't).

Really like CGP Grey, but i'm mostly amazed by some of the AI stuff google is doing (see deep learning: https://youtu.be/wvWpdrfoEv0 ) i don't know how a genetic algorithm compares to a deep learning algorithm, but AlphaGo's successor AlphaZero is awesome, probably can play diplomacy; i wonder would it be any good at gunboat at least...

I absolutely love CGP Grey videos, and was extremely hyped when I saw he's released a new one.

Not nearly as hyped as when I read this thread, though!

I’ve been a hard CGP fan for a few years now. His podcasts are great too, he does one called “Hello Internet” with co-host Brady Harlan from Numberphile YouTube. He also does a podcast with Mike Hurley from RelayFM called “Cortex”

Hello Internet is probably best described as two guys talking although they spend significant time on YouTube policy and the ins and outs of running a YouTube channel. But they talk about lots of random stuff.

Cortex I think comes across as a self management podcast. How to use technology to improve your work flow, time management, and efficiency.

Both are excellent, and great listens for long car rides or while cleaning the house.

dislodging a convoy

I've asked this before, and I know I should know, but: what does it take to dislodge a convoy? if one unit attacks a convoying unit does the convoyed unit arrive at its destination, or stay where it started? Does it take two units, a move and a support, which would give the area to the dislodging units? Please explain.
