Is it actually realistic to say that 95% of "joinable" games are private or high-stake?

I have to say that I find the difficulties in joining games in progress is one of the most frustrating thongs about webdip.

I'd be happy to pick up even quite dire situations but can't seem to get into games because they are password protected. Private messages to known players don't get responded to and it's practically impossible to get into anon games that have a password without asking a mod to ask the players on your behalf. That doesn't sound like a good use of mod time.

Perhaps the need for passwords should be removed for games in progress?

I enjoy, occasionally when I'm bored, having a crack at "breaking passwords"

@Bladerunners: The coin entry cannot be the problem, as you don't need to bet coins in order to take over a country in Civil Disorder. And that is precisely what you do if you join a 'Joinable' game instead of a 'New' game. What can be a problem is RR requirements though.

@groza528: Yes, it is realistic to say that 95% of 'Joinable' games are private. Countries in Civil Disorder in public games get always taken over pretty quickly, but countries in private games not, hence the private games being responsible for the majority of the 'Joinable' games.

@Deeply_Dippy: I disagree. Some password protected games have special rules that you won't know if you join the game as an outsider. And if the players in a private game want other players to take over, they can just post the password on the forum or something.
