Why would he be under Germany? It's the place of birth, and furthermore only according to modern borders if I understand correctly.

I do get that, but it would be really surprising if any serious project grouped any of the famous Hitlers (inculding Klara) under "people born in Germany". Would be cool though to see an analogical project but with actual place of birth to compare the results (e.g. here Poland has lot's of German guys, and lack many Polish people born in cities taken by USSR after WWII)

Because that's the way I always heard that joke ("What the greatest thing Austrians have ever pulled of...") but then remembered seeing on the webDip map that kasimax is from Austria and checked my facts - and in fact I found both versions of the joke, even on reddit, which we all know is a much better source of verified information than wikipedia:

But then again, Salzburg was annexed by Austria in 1805 and Mozart was born there in 1791, so was he really BORN an Austrian?

And wouldn't you say that the fact he was born in then HRE, but not Austria, would make it justifiable to say he was *born* a German?
