Alright, I'll talk about my kid too :-)
My son had news that he was going to have to share his room (our youngest, also a boy, would be arriving shortly). Thinking it might be nice for the "guys of the house" to fix up what would now be the boys' room, I consulted him at very opportunity. Finally the day came to paint the room (blue). I sent him to bed with his grandmother, and set to work painting. At about 2:00am, I had finished and was too exhausted to properly put everything away. Still, I locked the door to prevent any mishaps. Promptly at 7:00am a knock at my door awakened me. He wanted to see his "new room". I unlocked the door and was treated to the amazement and appreciation of my five year old son. Then the phone rang.
It only takes 3.5 seconds to walk down our hallway.
Yet, I only had time to "Hello, um.... I'll call you back" after seeing my daughter walk down the hallway with a freshly painted nightshirt.
Yes, in 3.5 seconds, my son had helped me paint..... the door, the floor, the window......and his sister.
thus I now always put my tools up after finishing anything.
