It's a really bad campaign strategy. Ignoring it would be a terrible idea, attacking Comey is also a terrible idea.

It'll be a tighter race, at the very least.

I also saw that some Democrats have been going after Comey. It's obviously not a good sign to see a political party attack a non-biased, impartial, lawman. When you start to do that then you know you are losing. Especially, since this guy was in Clinton's corner. This means whatever they found has to be damning or they know something is going to hit which will be damning. James is absolutely right.

If new polls in the next few days retain at least a little bit of a Clinton lead, this is over. Johnson's numbers are already dropping. If Clinton's Utah supporters back McMullin, he'd cut into Trump's electoral votes probably.

Yeah Clinton is up by 4.6 and 3.8 but she was up by at least 5 in both the 2 way and 4 way just a few days ago. There was a tightening prior to the FBI announcement. The announcement could totally erase it.

If Clinton doesn't get to 270 a Utah loss will simply mean that the election goes to the House of Representatives. If she gets over 270 and he loses Utah then it's over anyway. If it's a wave election, which I think it will be, then he won't lose Utah.

I doubt it'd be a wave. It may flip a state or two, but Trump won't have a landslide by any means. Also wonder what'll happen in the Senate. RCP's no tossup map shows a tie, and 538 has predicted a Dem majority there.

I think the Republicans are going to lose Illinois (Kirk) for sure. The rest really depends on if Trump wins or loses.

The Republicans obviously retain the House though.

It's hard for me to imagine the Republicans losing the house unless this election is just a monumental disaster for Trump. If Trump gets blown to smithereens and loses by 10-20% nationally then maybe the Democrats take the House.

I am talking about a bigger than Barry Goldwater loss.

And that's just not going to happen. Breaking 10% would be surprising.
