so i guess they should treated as if we can still vote on them all simulatenously now. the rule didn't say specifically that we should get rid of them all, in favour of the first one - i just think that any proposal made now isn't valid.

A rule was made dictating that there only be one proposal at any time. It didn't give any direction as to how the next proposal be decided. That needs to be decided, and the only way of resolving is voting on it. There's nothing in the rules that says my proposal is invalid.

yes, ghug, the rules say we cannot suggest another rule until the rule being voted for now has been resolvd. we have multiple rules being voted on right now, so we cannot suggest another rule

My point is that when the rule was passed, it invalidated everything proposed after Jamie's proposal. This simply puts all of those back in a queue.

i don't think it should have invalidated them, and i do think actually there should be a queue of the ones we already had without making this a proposal. in part the rule states: "Once a rule proposal has been made, voting on that proposal must be concluded before any other proposal can be made". we have multiple proposals, so voting on those proposals must be concluded before another proposal can be made (including yours). because the rule also states only one rule can be up for considersation at any time, this implicitly backs having a queue of the rule proposals already existing, since it doesn't say they are invalidated, just that we can only consider one at once.

See, that's a matter of how you define "open for consideration". This is going to be a point of contention all game if it isn't properly settled with a rule.

Very well, I retract my proposal and instead purpose that we amend rule eleven to add a queue of proposals to which all proposals made before rule eleven are passed and to give ten nomic pointz to ghug.

Okay, this is tough to follow. Is the current proposal the one to give all players whose handles do not beign with an uppercase letter 10 nomic pointz? If it is, I vote nay.

we have no proposal. we couldn't decide whether to carry on with the others or if they had all been invalidated. right now we are voting on ghug's amendment (as well as others in general) to establish how to proceed. ghug's amendment is a few posts above

I vote ay on kasi's amendment proposal. And due to the difference between amendment and rule proposal, I propose that all former mafia players (PE, myself, kasi, Soc Dis, ghug, guak) will now recieve 150 nomic pointz.

I propose that we return to the last published list of rules, and scrap all currently pending rule proposals that have not been voted into force.

That will give us a clean slate with the rules.
