Elton is a better performer with both his instrument and his voice. It's obviously close but is Dylan's influence that much stronger than Elton to swing it?

Yeah, performing live there's no comparison. But, in my opinion, Dylan's influence is way more ubiquitous and substantial than Elton John's. Also, I prefer Dylan's music.

Just because I voted for The Boss shouldn't be interpreted as a hearty endorsement. As a rule, I don't care for music from New Jersey.

Bob Dylan's lyrics are not enough to get him by Elton John, who is a brilliant MUSICIAN. Lyricists that can't sing for shit like Bob Dylan should write their songs and sell them to the Elton John's of the world. I gotta give Bob Dylan some credit for somehow demanding $200 a ticket to hear his crackly old rotten vocal cords for the last 40 years and he's still performing around the world, but Elton John is way better a musician.

They're only local if you happen to live where they're from, so that's irrelevant to most of us (but presumably not you). As for interesting, I'd argue that only their early stuff was interesting, and even then I don't really like it and it doesn't outweigh years of cookie cutter rock shit.

Elton John is not very good. Also apostrophes are not that hard to use.
