@Putin, on each of his suggestions of this "abomination" of a list (because of course it is...any list is ALWAYS an atrocious abomination of "Well, I never, how odious!" awfulness...you make Mrs. Bennet look like the most accepting, non-critical person in all of literature, Putin.)
"No Louis Armstrong? Billie Holiday? Tony Bennett? Johnny Hartman
You want them in? You should've gotten here sooner and nominated them...unless we're doing 128, in which case, nominate them now, I guess.
"Ella Fitzgerald?" Mentioned she should be in myself...
"Etta James? Sam Cooke?" I believe they're already in, check the list...
"Is there anybody from the swing/jazz era at all? No motown either. No Marvin Gaye? How is that possible?" I kept pushing for Cole Porter and Ray Charles...
"No Schubert?" Eh...good, but I wouldn't take him over any of the classical composers named.
"Haydn?" Better, but I reiterate my point.
"Schumann?" See the above.
"Wagner?" We already have a good amount of composers, and given how I feel about both his music AND that slimeball of a man himself...hooray, he can sit this one out...unless we go to 128 and you or someone else nominates him, of course...
"Liszt? Handel?" Above composers are better.
"Verdi?" REALLY should be in...I picked Puccini instead as I figured he'd be less likely to get picked up by someone else, but Verdi deserves in...then again, if we're stopping at 64, there are already 7 or 8 composers, 1/8 of the list, that's not bad.
"Rossini? Gershwin?" See above...of the two I'd prefer Gershwin...
"Sousa?" O.o Really, that's who you end your Parade of Composers with?
"Instead we get Dave Mathews and Billy Joel? Really?"
Oh, stop being as uptight as an Uptown Girl with Ants Marching Down your pants...
