1. I have thought about the existence of gods. But since the concept is so ridiculous to me, no matter what 'arguments' I have been presented with, I cannot fairly say that I have considered the existence of one. For me, to consider something requires there to be a real debate in your head. Think about your reaction to Jack Sparrow. Did you really consider whether he could exist? No, you were immediately blocked by your knowledge that Jack Sparrow was a fictional character. You did not, and cannot, reach the point where you are actually thinking about the possibility of his existence.
2. Moreover, as I'm sure you are aware, there is no reason to believe that Jack Sparrow exists. That is a very good reason for it never to have occurred to you that Jack Sparrow could exist. There is also no reason to believe that gods exist. There's your difference between "the religious person who never questions His existence" and somebody who has never heard of gods. (For your information, I have heard of gods.)
3. You're right – faith is not equivalent to a belief. Faith is believing in something blindly. (The word 'not' you included adds nothing to the statement you gave and can be ignored; a non-belief is still a belief.) Since I've been using it so much here, Merriam-Webster puts it (in its relevant definitions as either "firm belief in something for which there is no proof " or "complete trust". Faith is patriotism; faith is Jonestown; faith is the kernel of one of the most fundamental pillars of fascism: following orders unquestioningly. To be able to believe in something for which there is no proof, to value blind trust: those are some of the most dangerous convictions out there. Faith is despicable and disgusting. That's why I'm insisting to you that the term not be misused; we must never forget what faith is. To believe in God, for which you admit there is no proof, is not the same as denying "His" existence, for which there is all the counterproof in the world. To claim otherwise is not only a slap in the face to the scientific method and simple logic, but a very dangerous assertion.
