@Conservative Man, No law would ever exist if it needed unanimous consent... and no law would be worth anything if a criminal (that would be a law breaker) could simply redefine his way out of jail by saying "I never agreed to that law against X". Society realized long ago that some compromise between rights of individuals and the good of society and some compromise between the rights of one individual vs. the rights of another - was called for. The idea of law, of course, far predates democracy... but was still embraced by democracies including ours. With good reason. You want perfect freedom - go live by yourself in the wild somewhere. Seriously. And yes, there is good reason why people don't commonly do that.
You want to live among the family of man - but you won't live by the rules laid down in that family? Give me a break, youngster. God may have created you - and your parents obviously created you... but your country is your tribe and extended family, and it is no accident that people refer to "the Founding Fathers". Your country is also responsible for creating your family, your town, your school, and in a pretty real sense, you. Buck up and accept your country warts and all. It is an imperfect union - but its the best thing going in these parts and unless you want to go it alone or in some commune somewhere, you are stuck with us, your American family. The Constitution is the house rules. Deal with it.
