PR's... You said that plural. You should not be speculating in this manner. I cant imagine any strategy where purposefully killing a town PR for day 1 would benefit town at all. That is essentially almost the same as tying the vote. Also to imply we have multiple town investigative roles is also suspicious. You said so our PR's gain a free night of investigating...

We have millers in this game. worst case scenario we lynch a PR Virgin, mafia gets no kill and we get off a scan that might be false. Even worse would be if we scan someone being framed(for example) and accidentally get another PR killed too.

@bb I agree that the suggestion is a poor one, but not only for the reasons you seem to. The simple fact of numbers helps protect our PRs best, and we should only kill the virgin when we can gain significant benefit from his death. The PRs aren't in imminent danger N1 as they would be after a couple nights of VT or Miller deaths. So the Virgin's sacrifice wouldn't be nearly as beneficial to the other PRs now as it would be on a later phase.

I think goldy just meant to offer the idea up in lieu of actually communicating for the next several hours, not that he was seriously advocating it. But that's a way to seem to be a part of the discussion without seriously offering anything up to the group, so not a positive in my books.

Cougar, krellin has one mode of discourse. There are subtle distinctions of tone and mood that can help you differentiate between bluster and actual conviction that most of us (myself included) have yet to fully comprehend, but he's not nearly as locked into an idea as it seems. Despite appearances his views are not set in stone. Its just his views of the moment get pushed until HE decides they should change, not based on someone else convincing him that he's wrong unless that someone else can prove they have actual information he doesn't have.

It means that goldfinger is asking if it would be wise to lynch somone either claiming to be or is suspected to be the Virgin intentionally.

If you read the Virgin role when we lynch them Mafia is denied the ability to kill at night as a result.

C. And that intentionally killing afformentioned Virgin would allow us to get off scans.

So let's do math the mafia breakdown given is:

So there are 9 possible mafia roles, and 5 mafia to fill them (we know 1 mafia is a mafioso). The odds of not having any particular role involved is: 8/9*7/8*6/7*5/6*4/5=(8*7*6*5*4)/(9*8*7*6*5) = (4/9). So the probability of having a lawyer is 1 - 4/9 = 5/9.
Which is 55.55%. So town has a slight advantage of any cop having 100% clear cop scans.

Also Vashta, you're math doesn't seem to be accounting for the chance there's a Framer, plus the miller that will show wrong, cop scans are gonna be anything but clear I think. I mean there is going to be between a roughly 15% to 23% chance the scan is wrong.
