I am going to make a small change to the rules, though. I think Draug may have suggested this.

Official Phase will be changed to 24 hours, meaning I will unpause the game 24 hours early. This way, people will have a full day notification as to when the phase will process, so no one is taken by surprise.

As to the start date:

Are people OK with starting Monday? We can pause whenever it was agreed upon.

Can I make a suggestion? I think it would be beneficial to hold build/retreats on Sat/Sunday and just pause the game until then. So move phases would be Monday-Sat-Sunday-Friday, with retreat on Saturday and Build on Sunday.

So that way the calendar is always the same.

@abge not arguing that it would get shifted if we did it automatically, but I think to avoid a NMR if someone got very busy during a weekday (this is unlikely for me ATM but I know some people don't have my schedule) they might miss the 24 hr window. If it were always on a weekend and you just paused in-between, it would be less likely to happen.

Given we're all going to go to a lot of trouble to make this work, I think adding extra time (pausing if there's no retreats) to keep the calendar synced up might be worth it.

Okay, there's less merit if we have someone who works weekends. the only other point i'd make is that mail doesn't come on Sunday, so there's a strong argument for ensuring move/retreat always happens on a Friday or Saturday. That and, while I know we'll all be paying close attention, it's still easier to remember to do something if it's on the same day in a given week.

No, it doesn't.

A real address, yes. You don't even have to put a name on the envelope, it just helps the location it gets sent to sort the mail.

Depends on the mail carrier. Some don't care, I have an asshole who does.

Depends on which mail carrier is delivering the mail on a certain days.. yep. They would return to sender. The guy's a serious ass but he fills in on for my regular mail carrier so what can I do.

I live in an apartment, so not sure if that changes anything. Either way it doesn't make a difference to that guy.

I'm intentionally being pedantic here, but I think if you just wrote my Zip+4 on an envelope it wouldn't come to my address.

It turns out Celticfox is 100% right. If they simply don't recognize the name at the address they don't have to deliver it.

Many houses have unique +4s but some are close enough together they share one. Apartments and condos most definitely need an apartment number and/or name. Each zp+4 covers a 100*100 square IIRC. Might be bigger.

Well either way. Has to have my name and just putting Celticfox won't help since it has to match the name on the box. The guy actually left a note saying that.
